I started with the 'Writing Japanese hiragana', and i loved the book and how i learned a lot of sentence and had to force myself to understand the grammar. But this one is just a whole bunch of word written in Katakana. If it is because it was supposed to be only katakana, the sentence could have holes only for the katakana words, so we could see the words in context. Also, some word traduction are weird for an English learner, like "aidoru", they translate it to popular famous person, but it would be easier to just say "idol" ? Or "nôtacchi" is translated to no involvement, but it is clearly "no touch" the immediate translation. It still forced me to write all the Katakana and hepled me learn them, but it felt boring.
