Easy to install, no drivers needed for Windows 5Gbit PCIe Ethernet Card.
I got this product to speed up one of our machines here and to also test some 5Gbit USB to Ethernet Adapters. Was very easy to install, located the required slot, turned on machine and Windows detected it fine without any issues. This product comes with a full and half-height mounting plates, which was nice due to I needed the half height back plate in one of my machine. I am happy to give this product a 5 star rating.

5GbE Network Card
This 5G PCIe network adapter uses the Realtek RTL8126 chip to deliver speeds up to 5Gbps, while remaining backward compatible with 2.5G, 1G, and 100Mbps connections. It fits into PCIe x1 through x16 slots and comes with both standard and low-profile brackets, making it versatile for desktops, servers, or NAS builds. I like that it supports PXE boot, VLAN tagging, jumbo frames, and Wake-on-LAN, which adds useful features beyond just raw speed. Compared with standard 1GbE or 2.5GbE cards, the extra bandwidth makes it ideal for faster SSD-to-NAS transfers or future-proofing a home lab. At £26.99 it’s excellent value for stepping up to 5G networking. Just make sure your Ethernet cables and other networking devices also support 5Gbps.

Good 5Gb NIC for the price
This is a 5 star for the card but a 2 star for the support. Installation is dead simple, and it works out of the box. However, the driver that comes with the card wasn't accepted by my Win 11 machine, and the driver that Windows installs automatically doesn't have any of the correct configuration options. I wanted to use this card as a dedicated NIC for my NAS device, so wanted to configure stuff like jumbo frames, and setting various options, and none of that was accessible. It took a 3rd party driver installer (shudder, I hate using these) to find and install the correct driver, as it wasn't even available on the Binardat site. Having said all that, once installed and configured, it's a really nice little card, running at the advertised speeds, and extremely reasonable for the price. Recommended, and if you're not fussed about drivers, perfectly fine. If you want to get a bit more advanced, prepare for some driver hunting though!

Affordable, High Performance 5G Ethernet Card
What I really appreciate about this Ethernet adapter is that it comes with the low profile bracket that's needed for my PC. I also love the 5G high speed performance - it makes a huge difference when transferring data files. Installation was easy - basically it was plug and play - going straight into a spare PCIe slot. It's a well designed, high quality product. It comes at an affordable cost that represents true value for money.

Functional and great value.
Simple installation, had no issues. Fully tested plug and play, no drivers needed, and worked perfectly supporting the advertised speeds. Great for motherboards that don't have wifi, or have a broken ethernet port if you need a replacement. Will fit in most cases, even low profile small ones. Great value and comparable to higher end products.

The Need for Speed—Now in PCIe Form
The Binardat 5G PCIe Network Adapter is the Ethernet card equivalent of giving your PC a triple espresso and a pair of running shoes. Plug this sleek little beast into your motherboard and boom—you’ve unlocked LAN hyperspace. With support for 5G, 2.5G, 1G, and even the humble 100Mbps (for nostalgic purposes), it’s like giving your computer a networking Swiss Army knife. Running Windows 11, 10, or Linux? No problem. It plays nice across the board and supports PXE boot, so even your BIOS gets to feel important. And with a low-profile bracket included, it’s ready to slide into your stealthiest small-form rig like it was born there. File transfers? Blazing. Online gaming? Flawless. Streaming 4K cat videos while downloading 20GB of updates? Child’s play. 5 stars. It doesn’t just connect you to the internet—it launches you into it.

Getest op een Windows 11 machine die alleen een 1gbit aansluiting had. Deze netwerkkaart haalt netjes ongv de top van 2,5GBIT up en down. Bouwkwaliteit is goed.

I recently upgraded the network in my house. Most of it is your standard 1Gbps network, however in my home office I have a 10G switch that I have connected my servers to at 10G, I have a NAS with 2.5G connections that also connects to that switch. I should mention the switch does support multiple speeds, 1, 2.5, 5 and 10Gbps. The only devices left in the office without a fast connection was a desktop computer, hence this card. Installation of this card is pretty simple, you stick it into a free PCIe X4 slot and screw it down. Depending on your case you may have to swap out the mounting bracket so that it fits, but in my case, I did not need to do this. After installation, I turned on my computer and because it is a Linux box, the card was identified, and just worked without any extra configuration. As for speed, it is a big improvement over 1G. Unfortunately I did not capture any metrics, but it does transfer files to and from my server faster than before. At the risk of sounding condescending, I want to warn people that they will not get faster speeds from this card if their network has not been upgraded from 1Gbps and/or has no other device with fast networking.
