After having a couple of previous models which were lacking and difficult to setup, I thought I would try this model and see how it compares. I can honestly say I am delighted with this model. For the price it is excellent for plants, reliable and easy to set up and adjust. The sunrise sunset feature is brilliant (no pun intended) with both sunrise and sunset lasting a couple of hours each end of the daylight section of the program. The start time is 10 am earliest but this can be adjusted by advancing the time slot forward in 2 hour slots. So if it’s 10 am and you select 12 am on the time setting, the program will begin at 8am. The length of day is also fully adjustable in 2 hour slots. The max light button is handy if you want to do some work in the aquarium outside of the program, press to get maximum full spectrum light, press again to return to your preset settings. Only downside I have found is if losing power the time setting defaults to 10 am but it’s easy to readjust to the time previously set. Your day length setting will not be lost. If you dont want sunrise sunset options there is also a button to select 6 ,10 or 12 hour timings and the intensity from 10 to 100% in 10% intervals. All in all a great light, excellent value for money.

Cannot fault this light. I upgraded from the standard light that came with my aquarium after struggling to grow and keep my live plants healthy. Massive improvement! It took a couple of goes to get the light programmed to how I wanted it, but I cannot fault this, and the price is great!

Absolutely love this light from Hygger, one of the best I've purchased, very easy to use compared to other lights they do.

Working well though have only used it on manual.

Needed a replacement light for a unbranded aquarium, couldn't find a light to fit into the lid of the aquarium so decided to give this one a try, really surprised by just how good it is for the money, I was using it on it's lower hanging area so I could still use the aquarium lit but recently found that the light was actually getting water inside, thankfully I was able to sit it at an angle over a bucket after unplugging it from the wall and it drained the water out, obviously I'm reluctant to put it back at this level so I've had to buy a condensation cover to put over the aquarium and I'm using the light in its higher position, it's still very good and plants are growing well.

I wanted to change the light that came with my aquarium but didn't want to spend loads. I usually buy Fluval but this is less than half the price and it does the job - even at max brightness it's not REALLY bright but that is what I was after. If you are looking for a super bright light then this is not for you. I would prefer to be able to set light levels with an app as I find doing it with the control a little confusing/limiting, but can't really complain as the lights with those features are a lot more expensive.

Set and just leave it to do it's thing. Sunrise to sunset. Update: controller stopped working, unresponsive so lowering scale from 5 to 3. Went on holiday and noticed from house camera light wasn't automatically going off so fishes were basking in light for 4 constant days.

Easy to use.good colour

I bought this for a Fluval Roman 90 to replace the old tube bulbs, and it has worked out really well. The 20W unit gives plenty of light for the whole tank and has been strong enough to grow plants. If you wanted extra coverage at the front you could add one of the smaller sizes, but for most setups this single light is more than enough. The build quality is better than expected at this price. It even fell into the tank and stayed there for a couple of days before I noticed, and it still works perfectly. My only complaint is that the timer and day-night cycle controls are not intuitive at all and the instructions are not clear, but with a bit of patience you can figure it out. For the price, it is excellent value and performs far better than I expected.

Very pleased with the quality of this aquarium LED light. Ability to raise and lower the brightness of the various colors is a big plus. I found the video from Hygger to be quite helpful when explaining how to set the various settings afforded by this light. The various light colors provided are very vibrant and adds to the overall atmosphere created in my 30 gallon fish tank. I would definitely purchase another one if needed.

This light is perfect for my tank, and it really delivers on everything it promises. The 24/7 day-night cycle is a game changer—I love how it mimics a natural light cycle from sunrise to sunset. The blue light at night is especially cool, and my Glofish look amazing under it. It’s bright enough to show off the colors in the tank without being overpowering. The best part is that once I set the schedule, I haven’t had to mess with it at all—it’s truly a set-it-and-forget-it system, which is super convenient. Plus, my plants have been growing a lot better since I started using this light, so that’s a huge win. Overall, if you're looking for a reliable, easy-to-use aquarium light that looks great and works perfectly, this one’s definitely worth it.

Well packed, and arrived quickly. The unit appears sturdy and well made. Controller and light work as described. Great value and was super easy to throw on my tank with the included feet.
