The Book Seat - Book Holder Colour: Shiraz Red

Excellent item, well made, very light so no noticeable weight when reading in bed. Holds hard and soft cover books easily and books of varying sizes and thicknesses. None of my books has presented it with any problem even large ones of A4 + . The perspex, attached with an elasticated cord to the seat, very effectively holds the book open. You do need a little care when turning the page to avoid snagging on the cord. I have not yet experimented with using the small pocket on the back of the seat to "hold your favourite chocolate bar" but I'm sure it would be perfect. My only criticism would be that the Book Seat is quite expensive.

This is the second time I’ve bought one of these. It’s really useful if you’re a reader of conventional books. Sits on your lap, or on a table, on a beach bed, wherever… Holds the pages open for you. Comfy and well made.

I bought this for someone recovering from illness who enjoys reading but found it tiring to hold a book for long. It is very supportive and light but much easier to use with well thumbed books rather than fresh off the shelf with stiff spines. It was also useful to prop up the a kindle or ipad for e books.

This is a brilliant idea- something I have been waiting for for a long time. It makes reading in bed a lot easier and seems sturdy in design. It will hold a full size hardback book . My only suggestion is that it would feel more stable if the base were a bit broader. Perhaps they could be made in large or medium sizes?

It is expensive for what it appears to be but you are paying for a clever design. I've used it for all sorts of books and it works very well. Some reviewers have said it only works on thin books - I think they should read the instructions - the elastic cord can be adjusted to hold every size of book and the Perspex holder can be twisted to hold the thickest side open if necessary. Really want the blue one to come back in stock so I can get one for my mum - she loves that colour!

i love ny book holder not only is it great for books it can hold my kindle and magazines, i use it when reading in bed it's fantastic not to have arm ache from holding a book to long. it's well made looks great and does the job perfectly.

Already being an owner of one of these, I purchased this as a Christmas present for a friend. I should have taken more notice of other reviews as it is quite disappointing. Not as filled as mine, probably different filling altogether, I expect it will still do the job just more squashy.

I got one of these for my mum following her stroke. It was what enabled her to read again. I can’t wait for mine to arrive before I have surgery on my hands so I can carry on reading.

Ich war überrascht, wie leicht das Buchkissen ist, habe es mir schwerer vorgestellt. Trotzdem bleibt es stabil stehen, kein Problem. Mir ging es in erster Linie um eine praktische Hilfe für das Tablet oder Handy, da ich auch hier gerne Bücher drauf lese. Und im Bett oder auf dem Sofa klappt das mit einem Ständer aus Kunststoff nunmal nicht so gut, da ist dieses Kissen die bessere Lösung. Das Material ist angenehm und die Leiste vorne zum Fixieren eine gute Idee, ebenso die große Schlaufe zum Mitnehmen. Wofür ich die rückseitige Tasche mal brauchen kann, weiß ich noch nicht. Überhaupt aber gut durchdacht und innovativ, klasse.

Se trata de un utensilio super practico para poder leer en la cama y en el sofá. Resulta muy comodo y hace que no duelan las manos de sujetar el libro despues de horas leyendo.

L'idea dell'oggetto è molto bella ed utile, peccato che la realizzazione lasci molto a desiderare riguardo alla scelta dei materiali che dà a prima vista l'impressione di una realizzazione fatta all'estremo risparmio: è un cuscino di una specie di tessuto neppure troppo morbido e con il lato esterno rivestito in mifcrofibra per dare un effetto "alcantara" ma dalla consistenza troppo sottile che tradisce il contenuto: una "imbottitura" fatta di palline di polistirolo che dà una sensazione poco gradevole al complesso. Con l'uso si ammborbidisce un pò oppure ci si abitua ma è sconsigliato come regalo perchè la prima impressione è da brutta figura. Molta perplessità anche riguardo alla durata perchè le palline di polistirolo nel tempo potrebbero perdere elasticità sgretolandosi in un poco igienico polverino. La base è chiusa con una zip ed al limite si può sostituire il contenuto.

Es comodo, no pesa y te permite leer o usar la tablet comodamente. Ideal para usar en la cama o el sofá.
