Great way to learn about the dangers of dairy. My doctor recommended this book to me!
An excellent book for all those who want to learn all the essentials about dairy products. This is explained simply and easily, so it is great for showing to disbelievers who do not have a lot of time. It is written simply enough that everyone can understand it, yet contains all the references for the sceptical to look up.As this was written some time ago, some of the comments are a little dated, but the underlying message is just as valid today as it was when it was written.

Not perfect but invaluable overview
Cohen's book is groundbreaking. I appreciate the fact that it is entirely science-based, and he lists the full citations of studies for each health connection he makes between dairy products and health issues. The dots he is connecting are very relevant to health issues today. Many of the issues raised here are rarely touched on in the larger body of nutritional literature, not because they are invalid, but perhaps due to the industrial interests involved. Many of the issues Cohen addresses are great unsolved mysteries in conventional medicine...but the studies he cites show us that they need not be, should not be. The link of hormones in milk (raw, organic, or commercial) to breast cancer raises the question of the involvement of dairy hormones in all cancers, a matter that we all should be concerned with given the skyrocketing rates of cancer. If we can practice prevention by changing our diets, we can save billions of dollars.Thank you, thank you, thank you Robert for raising awareness of these connections between dairy and health. Of course there should be follow up research, but part of the problem is money, part of it is that allopathic docs are not trained in nutrition (and let's not confuse dietetics and food pyramids with true nutrition). In the meantime, we have to think for ourselves, and this is a wonderful jumping off point for doing just that. Medical library, here I come!My main complaint is that I was left wanting for more. There is certainly material here for a more extensive book, and Milk the Deadly Poison lacks continuity and flow and gets wrapped up in issues of litigation, etc. More depth of exploration of various health issues and the way dairy is intertwined into our culture would make a fascinating read.

No Milk For Me
I bought this book used, but it is like brand new. Very easy to read and understand. Can be read in about an hour, but what an informative hour that was. After reading this book, I know now that cow's milk is anything but the perfect food. The dairy industry used to say " you never outgrow your need for milk", that's because you NEVER had a need for cow's milk. It was meant for calves, not humans. They used to say " milk does a body good ", but after reading this book, it is quite clear, cow's milk contributes to many health problems we experience in America today. Especially cancer and diabetes. Every parent needs to read this book so they can bring up their children as healthy as they can be. Cow's milk is one of the most dangerous liquids that people can consume. Read the book and share it with loved ones. This also includes ice cream, butter and cheese.

Not your mom, not your milk
A must read for anyone who thinks that "Milk, it' does a body good". Dairy causes a myriad of health problems and the dairy industry doesn't want you to know. Easy and simple to read, I'm recommending this book to everyone I know

Short but Sweet
This book is a brief eye-opener for anyone who consumes dairy, unaware of what is in the products they are consuming, and what dairy products are doing to them. My only complaint is that the book is too short. It is a great place to start for anyone concerned with their own health, and does disclose numerous medical journals and studies to verify its claims. I'd recommend checking out the author's website (notmilk.com). I am happy I bought a copy.
