Excited for the Elfin Series!!
4.5 Stars!!Don't you hate it when a book is getting really good...you look at the bottom and you are at 97% and you think....yes, I still got some time in this awesome world...just to flip the page and it is OVER!! Ugh, the frustration. Where is book 2!!Well Quinn does it again! She is definitely royalty in the YA world! I absolutely love the The Grey Wolf series and I think I am going to enjoy this series as well.I love how the Elfin series and The Grey Wolf series have some similarities but are different. How they are similar: They are both Awesome!! There is one mate/Chosen per paranormal character. The characters are witty, loyal, and you want everyone to have their own book. How they are different: Well in The Grey Wolf series all of the main characters are good guys. In the Elfin series not so much...Cassie is a normal teenage girl living in a normal teenage world. She is working for her father in a business building and observes a late night meeting. The men in this meeting are not human...they are beautiful elves. Cassie can't believe what she is seeing and when she notices that she has been noticed...she locks herself in a room, but she not alone. Now this series is about the Elfin race. There are the dark elves, that are selfish and can be cruel, and light elves, that are...well you get the picture. In the room with Cassie is the right hand of the Dark Elf King...Trik. He is the best assassin who shows no remorse to those that he tortures, maims, and kills. He sees Cassie and something happens...she can see him in his true form (all elves put a cloak over themselves to look human). The only way someone could see someone in their true form is if they are that person's Chosen. All Trik can think is...How could this happen!! Trik is evil and Cassie is pure and innocent....how could she be his??"No Arwenamin, it's a promise. I have no doubt in my mind that I do not deserve you. I have no right to you based on my actions in my very long life, but those aren't reasons enough for me to walk away from you."So they try to have a relationship. Even though he comes from a dark place and she is pure light. It doesn't hurt that he is gorgeous. Even her mom thinks so..."That was Trik.""I got that much, Cassandra. But who is he, and where did you meet him, and how old is he, and how on earth is he that good looking?"Cassie has an awesome family. Her father is hilarious and my favorite is her gothic best friend with no filter, Elora. She is loyal and she speaks her mind..."Fine, but if you get yourself killed I reserve the right to flush your ashes down the toilet while I sing the theme from Titanic."Trik tries so hard to be the man that Cassie needs him to be..."You are my everything, the very breath I breathe, the water I drink, the food I eat; you are all that I need, all that I want and all that I am is yours."But can he go against his nature..."You forget, my love, he comes from darkness. He has lived in that darkness for more than a thousand years. That's a lot to overcome."Can Cassie be enough for him to change...Is it enough if the love only comes from one side? Is the love of one person enough to conquer the hurt of two?The book is great!! I can't wait for book 2!! I want to see the entertaining way that good can over come evil. Is there going to be something between Elora and Cush??Oh Quinn...only you can end a book so...open-ended!!

Good Book!
This week’s book is Elfin by Quinn Loftis. This was not one of her free books, but in her other series the first book was free which is how I found her. This book is what I would consider Young adult fantasy. I fell in love with her first series and she branched off into two other series, one of which follows the storyline of the first. Overall the Elfin series is about good versus evil and finding yourself and who you stand for.I have enjoyed every single one of Quinn’s books. The first book introduces the characters in a new and fresh way. Quinn rights her books very cleanly without compromising the connection between love interests. You can feel how the characters feel for each other and gives you butterflies without getting graphic which some people do not like.I am especially fond of elves, so I might be slightly biased, but this book is one of my favorites and I would highly recommend it. I give this book a five out of five stars. It is a feel good story and one of the few series that I actually enjoy. I rarely enjoy series because I am very impatient and I hate having to wait for the next book. This first book is a perfect start to the series and makes you eager to read more. Some reviewers felt the story was forced but I actually enjoyed it and nothing was bad enough to pull me out of the story.I love each of the characters and felt they were well developed. The main girl acted a bit young at times but it was expected at least from me since it was in the young adult genre. I never expected any of the characters to be extremely mature, but they were not too childish. It was a nice blend and made an adult such as me happy to read it.I would recommend any of Quinn’s books to people. The story is the typical evil against good, however the way she tells it is not typical. Quinn creates a great adventure and takes the reader along for the ride. It is a feel good story and is nice to read and escape from the real world for a while. Link is below! Happy reading and get lost Inside a good book!

Fantastic Start to a Very Promising Series!
This is a fantastic start to a very promising series. Just like The brilliant Grey Wolf Series, Quinn Loftus has once again given us strong & interesting characters and a story which immerses you from the start into a fantasy world! In Elfin, the age old battle of light & dark has been brought up to date and it feels fresh and modern, with a hint here and there of history, decadence and medieval times!I would agree that the story did feel a little rushed at times, but hey it's a story about Love, Magic, Destiny and the fate of not only the Elves but also the human race; so I feel it was justified, as the Authors needed to get back to the important stuff as soon as possible. Cassie & Trik together are great and their story is just beginning, so has lots of potential! I also love the feisty best friend Elora, who I hope will have her story told in an upcoming book (possibly with Nedhudir, fingers crossed.)Here's hoping we do not have to wait too long for book number two!
