An interesting and very good product this hot/cold teddy, is teddy bear shaped and printed with a teddy face, and made from a soft flocked type material on the outside. Microwave for the specified time and this is a very warm but not too hot product. Its size is not much bigger than two adult hands held together. So it meats the criteria of it works retains heat or cold, and appears to be safe to use.

Brilliant.
An excellent invention. This particular ColdHot teddy has a multitude of uses. Put into the freezer/fridge if you need to use on a sprain or a bump. Put into the microwave for chills, neck/back pains. Just take care with the timing so that it doesn't get too hot.

Works well, and not just for kids....
After an injury that involved surgery I experience a lot of pain in my thigh. Painkillers can mask it, but I'd rather use as little as possible for obvious reasons. This kids product has come in very useful in alleviating the pain. Cold can be very effective at reducing the throbbing swelling-associated pain, and when hot it reduces the pain when moving about. I now have two of these packs, one for each use. 'Nurse Teddy' will be a favourite for a long time, no doubt.Build quality is good, and takes adult bodyweight fine. The surface is hard-wearing and it is easy enough to remove stains. The price is reasonable, compared to the standard hot &cold compress design, although technically this is the same product in a teddy-shaped cover.

Great for kids and adults!
Really easy to warm up with three 30 second bursts at approx 600w in a microwave, all you have to do in addition is move the gel around by squeezing the teddy between the heating sessions. The flock faced teddy was an instant hit with an ill junior who needed some gentle warmth for a sore tummy and my wife also gratefully used it for some other aches and pains.Gently comforting and much better than a traditional hot water bottle, this instant hit for our family is very easily recommended.

Cute, soft touch - takes awhile to warm up.
This is a very sweet looking hot bear. The box does specifically say heat, however I think it can go in the fridge too.You stick it in the microwave, best for 30 seconds then knead it to distribute the gel and repeat a few times. The ears and arms do get hot so this mixing is necessary. Our 3yr old son loves it and wanted to have it straight away. He now goes to bed cuddling it, which is very sweet. It stays warm for a long time with a background heat being retained. All in all, it's very good the only downside is the time it takes to heat it up.

Lovely teddy heat/cool pack for kids
Lovely teddy shaped heat pack specially designed for little ones aged 3 and over. The teddy had a nice velvety feel and looks really cute so will have great appeal for the kids. Can also be used as a cool pack so is versatile too.

Safer than a hot water bottle!
This is a good idea. The teddy shape, face and peachy feel make it feel less medical and more comforting for small children. I used it hot for 6 year old with tummy ache with great success and it has also gone over well with 12 year old. Good size for a child's tummy. For me, it feels a lot safer than giving them a hot water bottle.I found the bear nice chilled on a strained ankle too. I dropped a star because I think the price is a bit high for lots of parents.

Great idea, shaping as a teddy works really well AND it can be microwaved
Fantastic idea, not just for children but handy to keep for the whole family. I'd rather pay a little extra for one shaped like a teddy bear that's more appealing to our kids but equally usable by adults than a little less for one that's less appealing to an ill child. The real selling point for me though was that this is microwaveable. I've had hot/cool packs before that could be frozen, which was great and really convenient, but then when it got to the warming part they had to be left in a bowl of boiling water, which couldn't have been any less convenient. This Nexcare one really gets it right. Great to have in the house for sprains, bumped heads etc as a cold compress, or to warm up for health problems that benefit from heat. Totally recommended.
