An excellent and unique children's book
We had the first 4 of the Sir Charlie Stinky Socks books already and my two boys absolutely love them. They are a little bit different to your average children's read with lots of foldout bits and weird and wonderful characters. They are written in a really interesting way that captures the kids' attention and there's plenty of mystery and intrigue thrown in. The books do follow on from eachother in some ways, but they each also standalone, so it wouldn't really matter what order you read them in. I would 100% wholeheartedly recommend this for little boys (and probably girls too, although as a mum of 2 boys, I'm not an authority in that!)

A fantastic book for girl's and boy's
I brought this book for my 5 year old daughter. She LOVED it, and I really mean she love's it, she made me read it every night for a month.last week I was invited into her school to read to 10 4 and 5 year olds so of course my daughter insisted I read this. Every child loved it there were lots of giggles and eyes light up when you open up the folded page's.We own all the books in the Sir Charlie Stinky Socks series and I buy them for childrens birthdays too.A great read for mums dads and the children!

The book looked absolutely unused, arrived promptly, and was greatly enjoyed by the boy it was bought for. I couldn't be more pleased.

Puzzles and adventures with the smelly-socked knight
In this adventure, Charlie and his cohort are told by the king to find the treasure from a map... will they find it? As usual, alliteration weaves its wordy way through the text (though I'm getting used to it now). And Charlie will have to be brave. This time though, a slightly older child may enjoy this book more than the youngest fans - there are word puzzles to solve as Charlie draws close to the treasure. My son (4) looked puzzled so I quickly talked through them and got back to the treasure hunt. Riddles and spelling are a little over his head at the moment.Still, he loved this as he always does with Charlie. We love the sweet drawings too, the treasure map and knowing what is coming next (on subsequent readings!).One for ages 3-7 (and more the 5+ age range this time).

excellent read
Should be compulsory reading in schools and for all parents and grandparents. If you are uncle or Aunt you will be the best uncle/aunt for buying any of the series

Great addition to Charlie's Big Adventure
Got this book for our son after he got Charlie's Big Adventure on our Ipad. Wonderful illustrations and great storytelling. I only wish this book came with the audio CD that the other books did narrating the story.

It's okay, but not as good as Mummy's Gold
This is a pretty good story, but my 4 year old son is not nearly as into it as he is with Sir Charlie Stinky Socks and the Mummy's Gold. My son is into monsters and being scared right now (to a 4 year old extent), and this has that a bit, but after Charlie encounters the dragon, it's goes down hill. The whiny princess is not an interesting character, so the climax and resolution are really a let down. I'm so glad the author decided against Charlie "saving" the princess (although he kind of does), but her role is entirely to complain in a long-winded scream. My son will choose this book every so often, but it was a disappointment after the excellent Mummy's Gold. It's not bad, it's just not nearly as good or fun. Also, I wish this book didn't have the large flaps and fold out pages which are somewhat difficult to manage while reading in bed and don't add to the story or the sense of adventure. But, they aren't too bothersome.
