Gluten free and at a good price
Gluten free and at a good price which is handy to have in cupboard as not many shops near me stock Gluten free products. A lot cheaper than most as Gluten Free food seem to be a lot more.

Good
If you follow the suggested recipe, it works very well. However the bread itself doesn’t last more than a day because it starts to degrade and go a bit powdery in flavour and texture when it’s not fresh.

Makes nice gluten free bread
I followed the White Bread recipe on the back of the bag, which was very easy as it does NOT require kneading like normal bread: all you do is add all the ingredients, stir well until it is well mixed then place into an oiled 2lb loaf tin, cover with oiled ling film; then leave until the dough has reached the top of the tin; then bake it in the oven. This was my first attempt and I wasn't quite sure if I was using the right dried yeast or when to know if the yeast had been 'activated' properly? So I just added a little warm water to the yeast and stirred it until it formed a smooth consistency and then added that straight to the bowl containing the very wet bread 'batter'. The dough or batter took about 2 hours to rise just above the top of the tin - at which point I placed it on the middle shelf of my gas oven on Mark 7 and set the alarm for 50 minutes. But luckily, I peeped through the glass oven door after about 35 minutes and to my surprise, the top of the loaf was already a tad too brown so I took it out of the oven, turned it out and patted the bottom and sure enough it sounded hollow (as I think I remembered loaves sounding when I used to make bread 40 years ago).So I left it to cool and when I started slicing it, I was absolutely delighted at its appearance and texture, which was white and springy :-) The sliced, ready made gluten free bread I purchased at a well known supermarket was definitely not springy: in fact that was so un elastic that it just broke if I tried to fold a slice. Next came the taste test and again, I was absolutely delighted to discover that it also tasted a lot better than the aforementioned ready made bread I'd purchased :-)UPDATE 6 February 2020: Sadly, the bread had lost ALL of its springiness when kept in a polythene bag overnight. And the slices I froze in polythene bags had also lost ALL of its springiness.

Good for the price.
Follow the instructions & it makes a good loaf of bread in my maker. Its important to beat the whites though to get the air in the mix.
