Definitely buy this part over the cheaper counterparts!!
Our dryer recently stopped working and my husband discovered that we needed to replace this part. In an effort to save a few dollars we ordered a cheaper part (on Amazon). Big mistake. Long story short- we got 8 weeks of use out of the cheaper part and our dryer stopped working again. Same problem. So the second time around we bought this part. It was more money but so far we haven’t had any issues at all. Learn from our mistake and don’t try to save a few dollars and end up with an inferior product that ends up costing you more money and a whole lot of time.

Works Perfectly
Part arrived on time and was the correct part for my Electrolux dryer. The installer arrived two days later and had no issues with installation. After installation I've had no issues with my dryer drying my clothes.

Fits and Works Well as Direct Replacement
This item fit perfectly and has been working fine since I installed it a few months ago. It was advertised as being an OEM part but the packaging was not what I expected. The part number was on the box but there no indication that it was from the OEM, e.g., by carrying a manufacturer’s name or logo.Update December 3, 2023I am updating my original review and changing my rating on this product to one star. After six months of service, this heater unexpectedly failed. Visual examination after removal shows that one of the three heater coils has broken inside the barrel. This was also confirmed using a multimeter. I have doubts that this is an actual OEM part given the very short life and my previous observation that the packaging carried no indication of the manufacturer. The original heater lasted ten years. My next purchase of a heater will be a true OEM part from an established appliance part distributor.

Similar to OEM quality.
My dryer has used about 5 heater coils in the last 18 years. This is a very good quality product similar to OEM parts. I bought 2 so i have a spare. The price is about one quarter the cost of the local parts store. Can't go wrong.

Apparently decent quality, but not purely OEM?
The current (8/2023) Amazon listing for this part includes 2 possibly conflicting bullet points. One is that it is an OEM item, while the second states it is a "manufacturer substitution."The product I received is produced in the USA for NAPCO (a standard parts supplier) and appears very similar but not totally identical to the OEM piece: it is definitely not boxed as an Electrolux OEM product.I was originally dismayed that it doesn't connect to the wiring harness in the same way as the original Electrolux branded part, either. The original dryer heating element has a threaded post that is secured to the wiring harness of the dryer with a nut and washer. This new NAPCO part has, instead of the post, a male push tab connector that at first glance doesn't fit the wiring harness. On closer inspection, though, the harness itself has a small adapter that can be removed easily to fit the NAPCO push tab without cutting or soldering. The rest of the heating element is pretty indistinguishable from the original and initially works as well as the original part, which does have a tendency to self destruct every 5 years or so: this is my second replacement of the same part.Overall, I'm happy enough that it's made in the US and is identical enough to the original part that I'd buy it again. It loses a star only for the reasons outlined above, which in the end are relatively minor.

Nice for do it yourself dryer repair
The install for this took about 1 hour with the help from the wife. I put this in my electrolux dryer. I used the video from youtube to guide me. There are a couple out there but, use the one that show the install from the front. You will have to take almost everything apart from the dryer to get this part installed. The screw on the back of this part was the hardest to get out and when putting the new one in. I used a shortie phillips screw driver to remove the screw on the old part. Also, a bit advice is to use that old screw and to screw it into the new dryer part to make it easier on the install. Good luck.
