Well made and more hefty than I had expected. It’s not too heavy to wear comfortably but it is hefty enough that it stays put. A lot of jewelry is so lightweight that it doesn’t hang well but this does!

"Shiny!"The Giraffe Manufacturing Antique Coin Necklace is tiny. It is about a quarter inch larger than a U.S. half dollar coin or about one and a half U.S. quarter. I thought this was larger and made of plastic when I skimmed over the listing. It is actually some kind of metal and, well, smaller than I expected. I can say it was nothing like I expected. It is also a lot shinier than pictured. The "weathering" mentioned in the listing is just black paint filling in the pits of the design. The peaks are still shiny metal. A few coats of dark colored acrylic (craft) paint wash gave my copy a patina of a well worn medallion. The strap is just an elastic cord. It is easily replaced by something with a bit more character - like a piece of scrap leather strap. This is fine as a budget costume accessory, I just wish it was a bit larger.

I’m not gonna lie, I thought I was just buying a costume prop that would be a lightweight aluminum or something. This thing is downright heavy!It gives a great deal of believability to my costume, and looks authentic to the movie.

For his birthday, my 8 year old wanted a pendant "from Pirates of the Caribbean" as that he has become fascinated with it. He wears it frequently and shows it to anyone who will listen, haha.The pendant itself has a good weight to it and it looks just like the one from the movie. It has held up to almost two solid months of play so far, but I have a feeling that the cord it came on will eventually fray and break just because of the type of cord it is.Overall I thought the price was fair for what I received and I would likely purchase again.

The media could not be loaded. It's awesome! My medallion broke and was hesitant about purchasing this one because I really like the quality of my previous one.. However this medallion excedeen my expectations! I'm really happy with my purchase :)
