Q: Will this fit the newest model macbook pro 13 inch with touch id - model a2159?

The model I have is 1708 and it fits perfect, it also says it fits 2159 and the only difference is the touch bar which is the same size and the ports are in the same location, I would say yes but I am not 110% sure, it is a very good quality for a low price to protect a expensive investment .

No, it’s actually covered in leather. Bottom cover, however, is not.

Q: Is this case genuine leather?

I am not a leather expert, but I would say absolutely not. The blue material actually was nice - whatever it was. Too bad the case didn't fit my model.
