Love the comfort of this shoe
Likes: The cost. $49.99 for the all black pair. Normally I'm paying $120+ for my shoes up to $220 /pair. Since I walk so much at work (medical) I have to replace my shoes every year. I've gotten to the point where if I find a good pair of shoes I often buy 2-3 pair of the same exact shoe. So I won't have to continue to try on or purchase online trying to find something that works and is comfortable. Another thing, walking around all day, the foam and comfort do not hold up in most shoes I've bought. These shoes are only 4 months old so we'll see how they hold up over the next 8 months but so far so good. How the shoes fit was the next thing I noticed once trying them on. They feel like they were made for MY feet. Custom shoes. I wear a size 12 wide in everything. I've been wearing New Balance (nb for short) for the past 20+ years. I'm 5'10" and 240 lbs. NB was always my go-to athletic shoe. I never had a negative thing to say about nb. Still don't really except maybe cost $$$. I'm not a runner normally because it always hurt my feet, knees and ankles to do so. NB always made walking easy but not running. Side note: I do have my own orthotics I have to put them in every shoe I wear. These Saucony VERSAFOAM cohesion (svc for short) are the best shoes I've owned in the past 20-30 years. Any shoe I can walk or run in without having foot, ankle and knee pain is a great shoe no matter what it cost. The next thing I care about when buying athletic shoes is the "look". How do the look when I wear them? Will they "go" with my outfit or work wear. Well, I bought the black on black pair back in November 2020 because I loved them at first sight. Normally, to find a decent pair of ALL black athletic shoes in MY size I have to go hunt them down and then they're never all black like these are and they're always big $$$. I couldn't believe it when I found these shoes online. I didn't hesitate to buy these at first sight. Now as for black shoes, I know the men will back me up on this one...white shoes get dirty, dingy and ugly after about 3-6 months. They stain easily from just about anything. Where as black shoes do not. Touch up is easy on black shoes. All you need is a wet washcloth to wipe them clean and a good sharpie marker and you're good to go. Black shoes look good and they go with 99% of everything you would normally where with athletic shoes. They look good with my scrubs in all the colors (blue black gray, red etc), my blue jeans, my khaki shorts, my athletic shorts, my black socks, my white socks, my workout gear. I'm not a fashionista (fashion-eesta), shoe collector, nor a triathlete. I just wear what I like and feels comfortable..... NOT what I think others will like. These shoes are made of synthetic textile, foam and rubber. Part of the reason they're so light on my feet (~300 grams in a size 12 wide) is the synthetic parts of this shoe I'm sure. My nb shoes are ~400g. After a long day on my feet and 15,000 steps later you can feel the difference in the weight of my svc vs. my old nb shoes.Dislike: The laces. This is a minor complaint. They don't feel cheap but they won't stay tied. Never had this issue with nb so I'm a little surprised whenever I have to bend down to tie my shoes 3-4 time a day. I may take my old nb laces and use those instead.I was not paid to review these shoes. I am an actual buyer and now wearer of Saucony shoes. I did not receive any sort of discount or free product for this review. I reviewed these shoes because I liked them so much after 4 months of wearing them.

"Saucony USED to be Known as a WIDE Shoe Company"...
I am not sure what is going on with New Balance and Saucony shoe designers lately but there is a lot of "ball dropping" going on. I have seen this with New Balance and now with Saucony where they are selling shoes listed and labeled as WIDE, but there is no consistency in the WIDTH from heel to toe. It's truly beyond me how you blow that one. I have been buying Saucony running shoes for 25 years or more and now it appears I may need to look elsewhere or see if any of their other models are wider than the Cohesion model.I needed all black work shoes and so I read some reviews and went with this Cohesion version 12 in a size 12 WIDE since I have a current pair of Saucony Cohesion model 10 in a size 12 WIDE navy colored running shoes. When these black Cohesion model 12 arrived I couldn't believe that the toe box looked even more narrow than my Cohesion 10 model which was already more narrow in the toe box than previous Saucony Cohesion shoes. I measured various other shoes I own to compare and contrast. The RESULTS:1) Skechers size 12EE WIDE model "Advantage" black work shoe (my current work shoe)4 3/4" WIDE across at the widest point of the ball of foot/toe box area (measuring across bottom of shoe)Over 4" WIDE in the toe box (about 2" in from the tip of the toe)2) Saucony Cohesion model 10 size 12 WIDE running shoe (navy color)4 3/4" WIDE across at the widest point of the ball of foot/toe box area (measuring across bottom of shoe)Over 3 3/4" in the toe box (about 2" in from the tip of the toe)3) Saucony Cohesion Versafoam model 12 size 12 WIDE running shoe (black color)4 3/4" WIDE across at the widest point of the toe box/ball of foot area (measuring across bottom of shoe)3 1/2" in the toe box (about 2" in from the tip of the toe)The REVIEW:Based on the above measurements, you can see where the issue is. It begins at the middle of the toe box area and gets worse at the very front area of the toe box where it gets increasingly more narrow. I originally thought I should be fine because I don't have "duck feet" (very narrow at heel and gets really wide at the ball of foot/toe area). That was not the case. When I inserted my Walk Hero orthotic inserts (and removed the Saucony stock inserts) I could immediately tell it was tight around the outside edges of my toes. I put on my usual work socks and did a few laps on the carpet in my house and knew these were getting returned. It was rubbing against my little toes and felt cramped. Experience has told me "when in doubt, get it out" or you may be stuck with "shoes that don't fit and nobody will acquit".I think Saucony shoe designers and executives need to get together and figure out why something that seems so obvious to the end user is getting missed in development. IMHO you either ARE offering a WIDE shoe, or you are not offering a WIDE shoe. There is no in between. And you must be consistently WIDE from HEEL to TOE. End of story. Please Saucony, pick a lane and stick with it. If you're getting out of the wide shoe arena let us know in advance and we'll move on versus wasting money or time and having to return items. As a result, I headed to a local retailer and was able to find an all black work shoe that I am very pleased with so far. Asics Gel Contend 7 Extra Wide (4E) size 12. It is consistently wide from heel to toe and easily fits my Walk Hero orthotic insert without being too tight anywhere.I'll keep looking at Saucony in-store because I have had a lot of love for that brand to see if changes come in the future, but I will never buy their shoes online again because their consistency has clearly migrated south for more than the winter.

Good for walking
Light shoe, seems to be correct size except, weirdly, the right shoe is shorter than the left.

Best shoes ever!
I originally purchased this shoe 2+ years ago. The toe box fits my foot perfectly. I’ve worn these shoes almost every day in those 2 years and they look like new , inside and out. So, I ordered 2 more pairs before they are all gone. Great shoes and great value!

Fits well but not snug
It fits well but it won't hold your feet in place. It is overall comfortable for walking.

Great fit
I ordered “Wide” even though I normally wear a Medium shoe. After a month or so of wearing them these shoes fit comfortably and certainly are not too wide. Very happy with these shoes.

Good shoes for the price
Great shoes for the price! I have run 40 to 50 kms a week in these for the last few months and I am happy with them for the price. A little on the heavy side but very comfortable and great cushioning and support.
