nice little printer
Purchased this product to give DVDs a more professional look than stick-on labels. This printer does a nice job, especially when it's hooked up to the computer. Printer ink lasts longer than expected and it looks nice as well. I printed 35 DVDs the other night and it did not take very long at all. When working with the computer, the onscreen icons make it easy to figure out what to do in case you're guilty of not reading the directions.

neat little machine
I was sent this review form from Amazon last week and I already reviewed it. The first one was sent back because it was missing parts and Casio was not forthcoming in sending them.Amazon was good enough to send me another one. I love it I am still waiting for a label from Amazon to send back the first one. It has been packed and ready for about 4 weeks. Still like the machine. Not sure about Casio's customer service or Amazon's ability to get a label to me. Have been told twice one was on the way. Must be coming by Pony Express. MaryLou Millenbach

Simple
Incredibly simple to set up and use. Needs thermal printable media, but that is readily available and inexpensive.

The Casio printer: good choice for the casual user
This printer was fine for my purposes but is pretty limited and would not be a good choice for someone seeking flexibility and heavy use from the device. It's slow and pretty persnickety in requiring a very smooth disc surface. Fonts are limited too. For the price, though, it's not bad if you can accept its limitations.

good deal. A learning curve, but works great.
Bought after I discovered how flakey my printers disk labelled was. Very satisfactory, and economical of ink.

I was so dissapointed
This little printer might have been state of the art in 1990, but not today. Please do yourself a favor and do not buy this item unless you need something to title your backup cds.

Love it
I love this printer. Very easy to use, as a stand along unit or with a computer. It won't get smudged or smear as long as you use a media with smooth surface (I had used on discs made by Sony, TDK, Maxell, Playo...brands such as Memorex and Philips won't work 'cause they have designs on the discs) yet easy to remove with a little make-up removal oil (use something mild and natrual so it won't damage your data if you should get some on the recording side). Some people had complained about battery lives, I found that it drains the batteries faster if it's connected to a computer. Before you go and buy an AC Adopter, look around your house to see if you can find a substute. I found the adopter for my 12v portable DVD player worked fine with it. Silver ink looked great on colored discs, but when using color inks, you might want to use bold type as they tend to be lighter. Not for heavy commercial use or people looking for complex designs and graphics, but great for simple, clean disc title jobs.

It is all right, but primitive
It is a simple gadget. It does the job for simple tasks, although it is surprisingly cumbersome. One color at a time. One side at a time. The keyboard isn't intuitive. The shift key doesn't change the case; I found that I have to lock the caps for individual letters. The number of fonts is very limited. The number of symbols is too restricted. One can connect it to the computer and do more, but I have a Mac. It is possible that greater versatility is there if I really read the instructions more carefully or experiment more, but that is not how I like to spend time.
