Replace the ice bags with small to medium Igloo reusable icepacks and holy crap it's amazing
I bought this vest and filled up one of the ice bags. It holds water well so I will keep those as a back up solution, but I decided to by the small igloo ice blocks since Amazon had them on sell for 98 cents a piece. So I bought 12 of them. This thing is amazing with them, and holy crap my nipples are hard on 100 degrees heat in Texas because the top 2 packs haha. It works. Go on and get it! I wear this to work on mowing lawns.

Non-breathable material, and sizes don't match sizing guidance provided
The sizing chart on the product page provides measurements which, when used, resulted in an undersized item. At least, that was the case for the small. So, we have to return this one. Given that the material is also non-breathable, apparently waterproof material, I don't think this is the one we want anyway. Bummer, because I was liking that it had spots for ice four ice packs on the front, rather than two as many others do.

Fits well
I ordered a large and it fit perfectly and looks nice. I thought it would be fabric but is like fabric on a rain coat. It is about 8 pounds with all 6 ice bags, but did keep you cooler.

A Little Short But It Does Cool :)
Got this in size L and it fits ok as far as chest and shoulder measurements but the length is just a couple of inches shorter than my regular size L. This one measures about 22" L from the neck down not including the collar but still wearable for me, not a big deal. It's very nice look vest with the Silver/dark grey combo waterproof Polyester fabric, not too thick, similar to those windbreaker jackets. It does get warm without the ice packs so great for the Fall season as well :). It comes with 24 packs of ice gel packets, just add water (200 - 400 ml) to them and they will turn into gel before placing them in the freezer for about 6 hours. The water marks are clearly labelled on the gel packets. These gel packs are leak-proof as well. So I tried to add some water in to two of the packs to test, one with just over 200 ml and the other with 400 ml, obviously the 400ml gel pack will last longer but it will bulge out the vest a little too, the 200ml+ pack is a little more discreet to wear in public :). I am mostly using this when I am working in the garage or backyard most of the time and maybe a short walk everynow and then too. It does work and it may work in different ways for different people too. For me, I find it more useful wearing it for about 15 to 20 minutes and and then take it off once my skin is nice and cool, what a feeling that was :). It also depends on the weather at the time as well, if it's too hot then wear all 6 packs but in the evening maybe just 4 packs should be sufficient. Not enough ice gel packs will cancel out the heat generated from wearing this vest as well so keep that in mind. Wearing 4 gel packs on the back is more effective for me than the 2 in the front. I even tried to slip one into the front zipper chest pocket and it works better for me than the 2 lower pockets. Bottom line, it does help more than not, just have to find your sweet spots :). It does come with 24 gel packs so no worries, and they are reusable as well, very durable if used as recommended. Again, very nice looking vest, great for cold weather as well as warm. Waterproof and does not wet through pockets.

It will do the job but…
It will do the job, but you won’t look like the model 😂. The packs must be frozen if you want any measure of comfort. In the fridge with 100 degree heat equals 5 min of minor help cooling off.Put the water packs in the FREEZER and you will get a couple hours of relief. But you look like a freek with all the large frozen bags sticking out. Looks like you have a bullet proof vest on 😂.

It's cool!!!!
It is so nice to have it during this horrible heat wave in South Florida. One bag did break. But, fixed and back to chilling.

Solid cooling vest
A solid cooling vest. I usually wear an XL, particularly for vests where I’d generally be wearing something heavier over it. I opted for a L as you want this to be flush against body for maximum cooling. It was a good call for me, XL would have been baggy and thus the ice bags not as much in contact with body. This comes with a lot of ice bags, way more than you need for the various pockets. While this is great, it makes me a bit concerned around the longevity of the bags. I suspect they won’t last long and once they are gone, not sure that I’ll be able to get more of them as this product is pretty obscure. The instructions also say to put water in and then put in refrigerator. There are gel balls in the packs that turn the water into cool gel. However, I would think the freezer is a better option than the refrigerator as on a hot day if this is just refrigerated it will never stay cold. Finally, there were some odd bubble wrap packages included in the box. Presumably these are to go over the ice packs. But the instructions neither show or mention these, and it seems unnessecary. I’m goin to keep them though as I’m afraid of tossing and later find I need them. Overall, I’d recommend this.

Let down
Love the ice packs that come with it but vest poor quality and ice packs melt extremely fast with it. They last longer without the vest honestly
