So romantic and exciting!
4.5 stars! This was just as romantic as the first book, Fated Dates, but in different ways. Fated Dates was more painful (though it ended happily) and Illicit Mates was more fun and exciting.Dayton is just adorable! I love his peppy, emotionally expressive, and free spirited personality. Paige wasn't bad either. Tanner was interesting and I do like him, but I liked Dayton more, partly because Dayton is the shorter and more "willowy" boy. :) Nevertheless, Tanner's struggles with being a professor and a lover, etc., were really intriguing! The prose seemed to be a bit smoother than in Fated Dates here too. In my opinion, there could still be a tiny bit more setting description than I see here, but there seems to be more setting description in Illicit Mates than in the first book.Whilst Fated Dates had a cut off, underdeveloped ending to me, Illicit Mate's ending seemed better developed, though of course I would like to see even more, haha. These books are just too short. ^^One more thing: Normally I feel repelled by professor-student romances, but this romance was very enjoyable to read, even if the relationship did seem to progress a bit too quickly, haha. The professor (Tanner) is rather young, so the age gap isn't as large as I feared it might be!Thanks to this book and Fated Dates, I now have a new category to add to my list of favorite book genres-- paranormal gay romances. :D

Almost DNF
The book is only about 200 pages but the story dragged and I almost DNF. I started to skim at about 60% and yes it was a wise decision. The rest of the book was boring. I don’t think I will continue with the series.

Not even betrayal can keep these two lovers apart!
What a powerful story this is! Two people meant to be together, one not knowing who he is, and needing the other to help him discover himself. Both with something to learn from the other. Each with something to lose if the relationship becomes public. And when the alpha does lose what he has worked so hard for, through the betrayal of others, the loss is painful for him and his omega. Until they learn how to get past it, to live beyond and above it, because they have each other, and their love is true. Wonderful story.

It was an interesting read but could be better
The Character Tanner is very well written and seems to have his head together and knows what he wants out of life. But Dayton is another character and to be honest I can not stand this character he is poorly written. If the writer had written a more mature person in Dayton place the book would be great.I like this writer but the one thing I am finding in all his books is - if you changed the name and sex of the Omega you have a total different book. I guess is a way to make money as a writer it shameful he would do this.

loved it
This was totally awesome. Some parts I'm like.. wow.. and other parts I'm like awwww... and it was sweet.. and hott.. and it made me read until I was done. I love this author, they do an amazing job with making you feel like you are there. Very good story and I'm glad I got to review it.

Funny and sexy with a real fairytale ending!
Dayton totally makes this book! No sadness or angst like the first one in the series, this installment is funny and happy courtesy of Dayton. Dayton is flaming and fabulous, finally out and ready to have his "slut phase", but secretly hoping for true love. Wearing rainbow buttons on his back jeans pockets and always asking himself what Katy Perry would do in any given tricky situation, Dayton is completely adorable and oh so funny. Tanner is a much more tame character who keeps suffering through setup after setup with women that he just doesn't connect with. While they make an immediate connection, it's not until later that the full explanation becomes clear. The story setup, the conflict, and the twist are completely predictable here, but the story still manages to entertain with the sexual chemistry of the main characters and Dayton's hilarious POV voice. (The story is told from both characters' point of view in alternating chapters.) The resolution was a big fairytale ending that put a smile on my face, even if I did roll my eyes a bit. After this fun read, I can't wait to read then next in the series!
