Cat's Gotta Like It
It's only going to work if your cat likes it, or at the very least tolerates it. My cat loves to be brushed/combed. Actually demands to be brushed/combed. But he's a long-hair tabby and he can walk away from his brushing station (has his own spot) with perfectly coiffed fur and by the time he hits the floor there's another bit of matted fur. I tried this product twice. The first time he was startled by the change in procedure and didn't stick around. The second time when he heard the pump action on the bottle and the smell of the detangler (although, quite pleasant for me) he gave me the stink-eye, bolted from the room and quite vocally chastised me. You know what I'm talking about. So, Cat: 1, Product: 0.UPDATE: Originally gave this a two-star, but was contacted by seller who offered to refund the full purchase price. I didn't ask for one; didn't really think about it (wasn't Bailey's fault my cat has attitude). But their offer was really classy so I upgraded to five star.

Seems to soften the mats if they aren't too bad. Doesn't hurt the cat, who tries licking it off as soon as it's applied, so it is safe to use

Nice smell leaves cats fur soft and brush able. Helps take out most knots our of fur.

Makes my cats smell very nice and detangles well. I have two long haired cats and this product truly helps remove mats in addition to a very nice smell. Cats showed no allergic reaction to the detangler. Would recommend.

Helps - read bottle directions very carefully
Bought this because it suppose to be safe around cats. However when you read the bottle it tells you don’t let cat lick it. My cat had a bad matt of hair and I used this it did help so I could remove however just be careful when using as my cat was able to reach it.

Vomit and diahrrea
Worked , But gave diarrhea and vomit to my cat.

worked very well
we just took in a stray and had him fixed. he was still in his starving phase with food so with the surgery he got fat. he is doing much better now but then he got so big he couldn't clean his back around the tail part. We bought this immediately as brushing found 2 mats. Ive never had a cat that matted and this was an unusual case. we did use it and it did help. we were then able to cut the hair. Once the hair grew back the other kitties groomed him and he has not had a matt since. sometimes you just need a little something for a moment, that was the case here. the scent didnt bother him and i sprayed it into my hands then put on him. in case the spray sound might bother him. quick shipping package around safely. recommend
