Why did you pick this product vs others?: As usual, an absolute winner from Tide! This product is amazing. I do about 4 (sometimes 5) loads of laundry nearly every day (crazy, I know). I live with 4 guys, and I won't let them touch the laundry for fear of destruction. Anyway, I add a scoop of this to ALL my white or mostly white laundry and WOW, it works wonderfully. Everything (no matter how dirty) comes out white, bright, and clean. The smell is so fresh and clean, I am addicted to this product. Works better than any other non-bleaching, whitening laundry additives I've tried. It is fantastic! I even use this in my carpet cleaner (after I dissolve it in HOT water/mixed with my carpet cleaning solution). Makes my carpet smell fresh and removes ALL the dirt! 1

This box should last you a long time. I give a decent size scoop into my washing machine when I am washing whites. I've noticed that with stain spray and then this Tide OxiBoost powder that my whites come out of the washing machine noticeably whiter. I have noticed no signs of damage. It's super easy to use, just take the scoop and throw it on top of your clothes before starting your wash. It enhances the clean and whitening. It smells good and does the trick. This box is great for the money. I do recommend having a gallon ziploc or a jar to relocate the powder to for the sake of not spilling the white powder all over the place, as the powder is just inside the box which seems a little sketchy to me. Other than that, amazing product.

Okay, bought it by accident and used it as a laundry detergent (not a booster). But i did wonder and finally started to research only to find a definitive "no" this is not detergent. Well, I have not used additives in forever and most of my clothing is old and worn but this stuff works! It makes everything look cleaner, brighter and whiter. And to give you an idea of the type of dirt we are talking about, I have a horse and it is summer. He is dirty, sweaty, he has a pond in his field and he goes swimming every day and then he gets out and rolls in his chosen sand pile and he is gross. And on a rainy day or a really hot day, the barn is gross. My cloths smell from half a hallway away. I have owned horses for 35 years and I have never felt comfortable wearing my barn cloths anywhere else, not even to the market. But this stuff really works and more an more I do wear my barn cloths out in "public" and I mix my regular cloths with my barn cloths and no-one notices. And I do have a horse so I am very careful with the amount of detergent/additives I use. A little goes a long way.

Works good just not a good value

This does every bit and then more of what it claims, absolutel stain and odor remover, me and mine don’t prefer to wash without it his work clothes come out as fresh and clean as they were when he bought them, unfortunately they stopped making this Tide this is a hurt piece for us.

It’s Tide. Of course it works good. But damn, that box is so hard to open. I already use an oxy clean boost. And sometimes I buy the oxy white booster. But I was curious to see if this works any better than the oxy clean for whites. Per the usage directions on the box, it looks like you use a (noticeably) little more than you would the oxy clean. A large load will use a decent 1/2 cup amount anyway. Although to be fair, oxy cleans directions leave it open ended with, a vague, “use more if needed”, or something like that. I was pleasantly surprised how much I actually love the scent, as I opened the box. It’s very fresh and clean smelling. As far as its effectiveness as a whitening booster, which is specifically what I bought it for, to compare with Oxy clean white revive or whatever it’s called. Yes, it’s very effective. I’d say comparable to Oxy Cleans white Revive. Noticeably better than just using Oxy Clean, for sure. I’m going to have to wait for another white load to really confirm. As it would stand now, I’d say it’s too close to really fairly call either way. 1 star deducted for the difficulty opening the box. But it’s probably just equally a me problem and because of my stupid RA.. will update again after I wash another white load.
