Ive always used a mechanical pencil as my main in sketching, and its good, but a pencil cant get you very far once you start to get better, so i decided to use charcoal, and MAN its amazing, the pictures above are a before and after of an old drawing a made in class once i touched it up with this kit, pretty awesome. I love the variety of supplies at such a good price, the pens and pencils are very nice, and the sharpeners are very sharp, and so is the knife, although i had trouble sharpening the white charcoal, it still worked and i got some decent highlights on the cockpit and the moon, overall its a great kit if your someone like me whos good, but wants to take the next step towards becoming great, 10/10 recommend 🤠

I've had pretty good look with this brand, which I consider kind of a student version of Prismacolor or Staedtler art pencils. I like the quality of the pencils, and for the price these are a good student alternative to the more expensive ones sets. I would also argue these are a better quality that the store brands Michaels offers, but at about the same price.What I especially like about these sets is that they contain just about everything a novice artist would want to experiment with (minus the paper.) In this set you get pencils of varying harnesses, a soft graphite pencil, hard graphite sticks, charcoal pencils, three different hardness varieties of stick charcoal, a white charcoal pencil, blending stumps, and other assorted accessories. The only thing missing (to have a complete drawing experience) is vine charcoal (which is messy) and sanguine crayons (does anybody really use these outside of art school).The one accessory this comes with that I would NOT recommend is the exacto knife. It's poorly made and can be dangerous in a child's hands because it doesn't want to retract properly. Other than that, the set is great.If you have a young artist, you want to give them good supplies, because nothing is worse than trying to learn to draw with nasty cheap art supplies. (I'm looking at you, Michaels brand watercolors!!) So this is a great set, with lots of products, to really explore and experiment with drawing. But I wouldn't say it's just for kids. This is a great portable set for the adult learner (although the case is a little flimsy and I would probably want to wrap it in rubber bands so it doesn't come open if you slide it into a backpack.)The set is billed as "artist quality" but there are no number or stats to say how well it holds up to light and age. If you're a professional artist, these might not fit your needs, but I would definitely recommend this (especially as a gift) for the budding artist in your family.

This is an excellent art set, for beginners or art lovers! There is a great selection of pencils, and you really have everything you need to sketch and doodle!

We have a couple of very young budding artists in our family and this is one awesome set. The girls are both sketching artists and will truly like using sketching pencil set. It comes with different grades of lead, soft, medium, and hard, to use for different effects in their sketches. I am sure they will learn how to use each item in this set as they use it. They will be able to draw more and more details to their sketches. I like that there is an instruction manual to help. Their sketches are THEIRS, so please no one steal them.

The performance of these pencils is very nice, smooth for shading. They are good quality pencils. A nice variety of supplies for sketching. Not a big fan of the knife, I removed it before letting my daughter use it.

This set has everything needed to get started on sketching and drawing using dry medium (graphite and charcoal). It has a nice coverage with regards to the graphite pencils, ranging from hard (light) to soft (dark). Also, it provides the main three values of charcoal (hard, medium, and soft). Both mediums are provided as pencils and sticks.It comes with a good set of blending stumps as well. In addition to sharpening tools, including a small sandpaper block. The only thing in the entire kit that is just OK is the plastic sharpener, it is kind a cheap.With such kits I usually get rid of the container and just add the components to my large drawing toolbox, however, I really like the metal container with the zebra image on it. I find it easy to put the pencils back in the container and they stay in their place. This is really a very nice set for drawing.

I am impressed with this sketch set. It has all the items needed to begin or enhance a sketch artist journey! Along with some items that I was unaware I needed to accomplish my sketch artist dream. To sum it all up, everything you need and didn't know u would need to begin your artist journey.
