Outstanding replacement for 40 yr old Westbend 53095
MOSTRUST Digital Dual Kitchen TimerWhen set to the highest alarm loudness (90 dba at the back of the timer, 88 dba at 12” in), it is loud enough to be heard two rooms away even with a TV on). This is a very nice triple timer design with ½” high digits on an LCD display and uses a 1" diameter ceramic disk resonator that is driven at 2 KHz which puts it right in the middle of the human audio spectrum where it is easily detected. The resonator is driven with two AAA batteries which are required to deliver the 90 dba output level at the back of the case (88 dba at 12” omnidirectionally) making it very effective even in a noisy kitchen and sufficient to get your attention 30 ft and three rooms away through a couple of doors and with the TV on. So it gets high marks on effectiveness. When a timer reaches zero and the audio alarm sounds, a red LED flashes illuminating the timer select button for the Alarm that is beeping. While I didn’t initially think I would use this feature, it quickly became apparent that when I have two (or more) of the same timers in the kitchen and one of them goes off, it is not immediately clear which Timer is sounding (since they are all loud). You can tell whether it is Alarm 1, 2, or 3, by the unique beep sequence (two beebs for Alarm 1, three for Alarm 2 and four for Alarm 3) but not which Timer is making the noise. The flashing red LED allows you to see from 20 ft away which one it is.The ability to store a preferred time for each alarm while still setting the timer for arbitrary times, recalling the preferred setting when you want it, is a highly useful feature. Since I cook hard boiled eggs for 14:33 but use the Timer for many other things between uses for cooking eggs, it is nice to not have need to reprogram the 14:33 each time I need to use it. I just leave Alarm 2 memory set to 14:33 then when I need to I select Alarm 2 and then press the M-button and it is set to 14:33. Not a big deal, but a clever and useful design detail.I was looking for a timer to replace two 40 yr old West Bend Model 53095 triple timers which have finally been dropped enough times that they are no longer reliable.I first tried the new West Bend model that is labeled as 50053 and discovered that it beeps at 4KHz which is outside what is considered the normal human speech spectrum, is powered by a single AAA battery, which makes it too quiet to be heard more than a few feet away (60 dba @ 3”).[note that the difference between 60 dba and 90 dba is a factor of 1000 in acoustic power which is a BIG DEAL in terms of how far away you can hear it]I then tried an OXO Good Grips Triple Kitchen Timer and found it to be unusable as the display is off except for one minute after you set it and then again when the timer goes off and the design results in very short battery life and thus excessively high operating cost.So I am happy to find an excellent and affordable replacement for a 40 year old triple timer with equal acoustic performance and a couple of additional useful features (the Memory capability, and the flashing red LED showing which Timer and which Alarm is going off). I highly recommend this one and will probably buy one more for high usage and as a spare for the time in the far distant future when there is a hard failure.Potential improvements: This timer does not provide any user feedback when a key is pressed, not a key click nor a beep. While tolerable, it is an unnecessary annoyance that could be fixed with a few lines of software (call the beep function at the beginning of the key handler) which would be a significant improvement without impacting battery life to any noticeable extent.

Product works as intended, was given as a gift to count down to retirement. Very easy to set and get in sync with whatever time clock you want.

Great gadget, but SO loud!
This timer is so great, you can time 3 different events all at once. It’s easy to figure out and use. Two things I didn’t like… the magnet was really weak and would not hold itself up on my refrigerator. It just slid right down. I had a stronger magnet that I glued to the back and now it sticks just fine. Also, when this thing goes off it’s like the smoke alarm or something. You just want to run to make it stop. I don’t think that’s necessary. I’m not going to be sleeping when my timer goes off. At this point I’m trying to overlook the over the top alert because I love timing my meat, veggies and side dish all with one timer. I’m usually close enough to silence it right away.

Handy timer
This timer enables the timing of multiple projects. Controls are intuitive, easy to set up and use. Only con is that the magnets are too weak to hold timer up.

Perfect for my Pomodoro Technique!
I tried a few different timers for tracking the Pomodoro Technique. First I tried four or five different apps, but all of them wanted to add stuff on top of the technique I had no use for. I decided I would buy a physical timer, and I got one that I could turn on a face to start. It was a neat gimmick...and that was it. Carrying it around was a pain, because it could start...I could move in the middle of using it...it was a pain. But this timer - as simple as it is - works. The top timer is 25 minutes, the middle timer is 5 minutes, and the bottom timer is either 3 or 5 minutes (for tea). No fuss, just...doing the work I need to do and having the timer get out of the way. Which, in the long run, is why the Pomodoro Technique works.

Weak magnets, awkward interface
As other reviewers have mentioned, the magnets on this timer can't hold its weight if the surface is textured. Might be okay on smooth stainless steel or something, but it slides down on my fridge. However, I could live with the weak magnets if the timer functions were easy to use. Which they aren't. The selection buttons next to the timer displays only select which timer is "up", you don't use them to start or stop each timer. That function falls to the big red button at the bottom, which - get this - only works on the timer that's currently selected. So if Timer #1 starts beeping but you have Timer #2 selected because you started that one more recently, the only way to shut off the beeping is to check the display to see which timer is ringing, hit the button to select it, THEN tap the big red button. Not a good design for the kind of busy kitchen that needs a multi-timer.The kickstand is awkward too, the hinge is positioned so it's hard to press that red button without accidentally closing the stand. But all those complaints aside, the loud/soft/silent switch is a great touch, the display is large and clear enough to see from across the room, and it does the job just fine.

Should Have A Light, Burns My Food!
I HATE this garbage! It requires multiple steps to turn it on. If you set your time, but forget to press "Start," it doesn't work. I have burned foo again and again because of this junk. It's just poorly designed. I'm going to but something else from a different company. I regret buying this trash! Also, you won't be able to read the timer without turning on the kitchen light, or using some form of lighting. It would have been nice if they had provided a light button. I do like that it has a magnet, so you can stick it on your refrigerator. The alarm beeper is nice and loud. There is a small toggle switch on the side if you want a less loud alarm, or to turn it off (which I don't know why anyone would want to do).But like I said, if you forget that it requires multiple steps to turn it on, you will burn your food. Don't buy!

Best timer in my opinion
This is a very useful timer, having 3 separate timers in one means 3 separate timers can be set, all running at the same time. Adjustable sound from soft to loud. Very clear screen and easy to read and keep clean. Very happy with this.
