As pictured in the photo, these are not stainless steel color - they are a metallic blue. They MIGHT be made of stainless steel, but they re colored... and they're going back. If you need the stainless steel color, source from a different vendor.UPDATE: Had I bothered to read the product description or even just scroll through the pictures I would have seen that the stainless steel outlet plates are covered in a protective blue film. In my idiocy, not only did I not open the package to peel the film off, but I went as far as returning them. I ended up rebuying them from my local Home Depot, because I wanted the jumbo size versus this regular size wall plate. If you don't need a jumbo size wall plate, then these will do you just fine.I'm going to leave my previous review up, just to admit how silly I was. LOL!

They are very nice and several dollars cheaper that the local hardware stores. Very happy we purchased, when they first arrived we were not aware that a protective film was on it and thought we received the wrong color. Just peel it off and you are good to go

I mean, what can I say? They’re made of METAL. *Insert electric guitar wailing* Sure, they cost a little more, but then you honestly never have to worry about replacing them again.I have a spot in my house where a chair likes to slide across the hardwood and plow through the plastic plug covers. It was jarring at first, but then it happened so often, it became one of the standard house noises.*slide**crunch*“Dad I completely decimated another plastic plug cover”I decided I had enough, and this cover was the first result of an absolutely obnoxious search. It was something like “STAINLESS STEEL INDESTRUCTIBLE PLUG COVER OF JAPANESE FOLDED STEEL OR MAYBE THAT METAL WOLVERINE HAS ON HIS BONES”I was not disappointed. The new house noise is the same slide followed by a metal “clang” that is this product basically saying “Bro, I got you.” Never been happier with an inanimate object.

Two of the three were fine. The third was dented from shipping. Unfortunately amazon says this product cannot be returned. They look ok but I have seen better quality with other brands. Be very careful not to screw them in too tight because they will buckle in the center. Because they bend and dent easily (just not back as quickly or nicely) that can cause the top or bottom of the plate to push out from the wall.

My wife and I recently remodeled our kitchen, replacing old,dated fixtures, and installed new cabinets. So when we chose brushed nickel pendant lights for our island, brushed cabinet knobs and pulls, and all new stainless appliances, we naturally decided to update all of the wall plates as well. It's nice to have everything match.Leviton makes a very nice quality product. Very solid, and they look really nice. What is really great is that they have quite a variety of wall plates, for every conceivable need. This review is for a duplex plate, but we bought many different ones, and they all match.I think they are a little expensive (minus half a star) for what you get, especially in comparison to a simple plastic one, but they really finish off the kitchen, and I don't regret spending the money on them. You do get what you pay for. If you are looking for a way to make your plugs look a little nicer, consider these.They do attract fingerprints, but that is to be expected for brushed metal finishes. Just need to wipe off now and then (minus half a star).

This wall plate packs well and looks well made. However, the product measurement is incorrect. Instead of 4.5 x 3 inches listed on the product page, it is actually 4.5 x 2.75 inches. It is a noticeable different and not sure I am going to use it. Might consider to return this!

So this is mostly my fault for not looking through the photos before I bought them, but I was under the impression that these were blue outlet covers. Especially since my search for “blue outlet cover” resulted in these. Long story short, I bought five of these to match the blue aesthetic in my living room and it turns out they are really silver. Super nice, but not blue. Oh well.

There's nothing mechanically wrong with it, it works just fine. 3 stars because it's blue and I definitely ordered a silver stainless steel outlet plate. Not happy about that, I ordered silver for a reason...

The blue look on these plates look really good and when you take off of the blue plastic the stainless steel is quite nice as well, good finishing, easy install.

Exactly as I was expecting, and it does come with a protective blue plastic film to prevent scratches during shipping. Actually, the film is done so well (nice edges, proper adhesion), that I've left it on the wall plates to see if I like them with a blue tint!

I received the item in an open package without the fixing screw....

Expected solver (stainless steel), all of them had a blue tinge and unable to return!, not pleased
