Definitely not "Easy to Install" but I guess I got lucky
This is the first screen protector I've ever put on a phone. The installation is involved and the included instructions are complete but not friendly. Watching several videos helped. Applying the small strips of tape is tedious (don't let them cover the glass). The rocking jig is weird but does what it's supposed to do. The glue does not harden on exposure to air and rolls around the screen in a big bubble so you have plenty of time to play with it and move it to the preferred position by tilting the jig. My big scare was when the screen protector prematurely dropped onto the screen. It seems the glue bubble position was good enough because the glue slowly spread to cover the entire screen. I cured the heck out of it (4 segments of ~25% each per pass with 2 short passes in jig, remove from jig, remove tape, wipe edges, then 3 long passes out of jig) and let it "age" overnight before using the phone (probably unnecessary but one video suggested it). The protector is well-positioned and solidly attached to the screen with no bubbles or dust or any observable flaws, and no glue mishaps. I feel like the screen is slightly less responsive, especially the fingerprint sensor, however I didn't set up fingerprints until after protector installation so maybe the 8's sensor is just slower and requires pressing harder on the screen. I can live with it. I hate that this is a Pixel 7 product (there is a "Pixel 8" sticker over the printed "Pixel 7" label). Pixel 7 had a curved screen, 8 has a flat screen -- how can the same protector work for both? I think it's because it didn't really fit the 7 curved screen. Whatever, it seems to be okay on the 8. Would I do it again? I don't know. Plastic film is probably fine, but bubbles and dust specks drive me crazy and I feel like the liquid adhesive minimizes/eliminates that. But it's expensive and time-consuming to install.

Avoid This. โ Does not work properly, complicated installation and overpriced.
From the very beginning, the package was for a Pixel 7 Pro, and not Pixel 8. The parts inside were indeed for a Pixel 8 Pro, however. I shook that off and continued. After about an hour and a half and one failed attempt at the overcomplicated, convoluted and overall pointless installation that requires you to watch a video and not mess up a single time, the protector was on my phone. I'll say, yes, it fits great and it looks good. It made the colors of my screen look different, which I can't really describe other than over or under saturated depending upon the light. It also stuck to my phone properly and fit the majority of the screen, minus the edges (which it advertises a full protection which it's just not). There was a high glare on any sort of overhead light, which was annoying. The fingerprints don't really show, which is nice. Almost 3 days later, I noticed scratches on the screen and I haven't dropped my phone a single time at that point. I've been incredibly careful and never kept anything that would scratch any part of the phone next to it. Not in my pocket, at home or work. There were no cracks, however and the phone's screen was still in tact. 4 days later, I noticed that the top right edge of my protector was coming off and causing it to look wet under the screen considering the "glue". It appears the UV "curing" didn't actually do anything at all. I still shook it off as it was reassuring to have a protector at all. Today, I dropped my phone on the carpet, from about 3 feet down and the screen protector has a noticable crack on the top left. It also appears that crack made the top right where the protector was coming off even worse, and now it looks like there's spider webs under the top of my screen. It's really really easy to remove, which is concerning. All it really takes is bringing up the edges slightly and it comes right off like any other screen protector. Just save your money. Get amfilm or something. There's not really any screen protector for the pixel 8 pro that covers all the boxes and they all seem to have downsides or are overpriced gimmicks such as this. My last Pixel 3a had $9 amfilm that I kept on it since launch up until I had this phone last month, and I've dropped it hundreds of times with literally no scratches or cracks to the protector or screen. This is probably worth around $9 such as the others. The other gimmicky things such as the UV light, jig, etc are the factors that make it cost $40. Save your money. Avoid this. Ignore the paid / free item reviews. It's just not worth it.

Difficult to apply, but worth it in the end
Although this screen protector is not easy to install, it is defenitely the best screen protector I have used. I usually purchase IMBZBK screen protectors. They are far easier to install as they don't use liquid glue to set it. However, the Whirestine Dome is the best for fingerprint identification. Thw IMBZBK screen protectors stop working with fungerprint identification almost immediately... At least for me! I have had the Whitestine Dome screen protector on my phone for about a week. Very happy so far, although I went through both screen protectors in the first try, even though I watched the "How to" vedeo 4 times. The first time it was my fault as I removed the olastic backing from the screen protector, then lost track of which side was the front and which was the back while looking at the video to make sure I was doing it right. I will say, put something down like kraft paper because it is messy. You will need extra alcohol wipes for cleanup! Make sure to have your entire set prepared before starting this cycle. It isn't a quick install. I gave it 4 stars because of the messy complexity of the install, but I do like the final result which should get 5 stars! Oh! It doesn't come with a camera protector. I used IMBZBK camera protectors.

Love these protectors
Probably the best protector I have had, the install takes a little getting used to but once you nail that down the finish is flawless. My only gripe is they are a bit more fragile than other protectors, especially the edges. Although with the UV glue I don't replace a cracked protector until its truly ready. The cracks are barely noticeable due to the adhesion.

I think there may be something wrong with the shipment of product that Amazon has at their warehouse
EDIT: update: I just received the order I made directly with Whitestone Dome from their website, which I thought I had canceled because it was going to take so long to arrive but I guess... Well it showed up, and I never got a refund so idk what happened there. But that's not why I'm here, this installation, while still fiddly and full of liquids and stickers and UV curing, went perfectly, just like my previous two phones. The glue spread evenly, and there are zero blemishes, dust specs, bubbles... It literally looks like the glass on the phone itself except that it's raised from the surface a little bit. This truly is the best screen protector out there, but buy it directly from them until Amazon gets its stock sorted out. Bumping down to two stars due to Amazon quality, but the product overall is five stars just not from this storefront. ------ The process for installing this is very involved and uses a liquid and UV curing lamp to bond the glass to the display. I'm not sure if there was a problem with the liquid that was shipped with mine, or if I did something wrong in the installation, but after curing, cloudy spots were very clearly visible underneath the protector. These spots would affect the clarity and visibility of the screen, and one that formed over the fingerprint reader basically disabled it entirely. It wouldn't recognize the fingerprints I had set up before installing the protector, and I could not successfully set up any new fingerprints after installing it. Also, I did not notice any cloudiness over the front facing camera, but pictures I took with it were noticeably worse with the screen protector installed. That's why these types of screen protectors usually have a cutout for the front facing camera, I guess. Important note: use heavy gloves or a plastic spatula and eye protection to remove the screen protector if necessary. When the liquid cures under the UV lamp, it creates an unbelievably strong bond. When I went to remove it, it started just shattering, coming up little chunks at a time. Fortunately it's laminated glass, so it largely stayed together, but some chunks of it stayed stuck on the screen which I had to carefully scrape off after removing the rest, and it required several alcohol wipes to finally clean up the residue. I ended up with tiny glass fragments all over my kitchen table, an utterly destroyed piece of laminated screen protector, and lots of frustration. It came with a second glass, but the installation was so fiddly that I really just didn't want to go through with it again. Especially since if I had to remove it again, I would have to go through that entire hazardous removal process again. I'm just going to head over to Best Buy and have them install an InvisibleShield, I've already sent this kit back. Leaving three stars because, though it didn't work for me, there is definitely a chance that it was user error or a manufacturing flaw. This company has a reputation for high quality products, this one just totally missed the mark.

Great screen protector but attrotous application instructions
I've only had this on my phone for a day but so far it's been a good screen protector. It's easy to use my touchscreeb still, fingerprint works, no loss in visibility or clarity, fits with my case, no rainbow effect. However the instructions that come with the screen protector are horrible. I was lucky to have read the reviews before trying to apply it so I was warned before hand. It comes with a little slip of paper that lists steps in slightly broken English with pictures that do not show the steps that they are describing. There is also a QR code that links to a webpage full of tutorials, but guess what? There's no tutorial for the pixel 8 pro, even though the QR code in the box leads to that website. This is really bad because there is a little slit at the top of the pixel 8 pro that is a speaker. This kit uses UV curing glue to affix the protector to the device. They provide a sticker that you stick over the speaker slit to prevent glue from getting in there, but their diagram does not illustrate this at all. All the instructions say is put the sticker over the speaker in the screen. I didn't even know there was a speaker there to begin with, and if you didn't know it was there beforehand you'd probably never know. I've seen reviews on this page of people who actually did damage their speakers from the glue. I had to lookup a video on YouTube for proper installation instructions. To be fair once I actually found out how to properly install it, it was very easy to do and I was able to get a perfect installation with no dust or bubbles on my first go. Overall a very good screen protector held back by a frankly unacceptable amount of negligence. If they can fix the instructions by correctly translating the English and making diagrams that show the steps being described, then this would easily be a 5 star product. Until then however I could never give a product with such dangerous boneheaded mistakes anymore more than a 3 star.

Watch a couple of video instructions before starting!
Initially, I was very unhappy with this product. On the first attempt, the liquid adhesive did not flow across the entire screen of my Pixel 8. I had to take off the glass and clean the screen with alcohol. But I blame myself. I was hasty, and did not follow the instructions as carefully as I should have. You need to maneuver the blob of adhesive to the center of your screen before dropping the glass onto it, or it won't flow over the entire screen. On my second attempt, it worked beautifully: great adhesion, no bubbles and everything works perfectly. Now, I think it's the best screen protector I've ever used. (There is an extra bottle of adhesive, so I can probably use the other glass if I need it.) If you buy this product, make sure you watch a video or two specific to your phone about how to install it. The written instructions that come in the box are entirely useless, but there are videos for various phones on the company's website. Better yet, there are some easier-to-follow tutorials on YouTube. Just be familiar with what you have to do before starting. This is definitely not the easiest screen protector to use. But if you're careful and take your time, it will be worth it. It an exceptional screen protector if installed properly.

Overly complicated, just buy the sticker kind. also some screens don't fit the jig they give you
seems like it would be nice if it worked. Incredibly hard to set up, requires UV curing glue. you're better off getting the $9 two pack. I had to toss the first one since the glue slipped and I didn't start on a perfectly level surface which the video didn't mention (makes sense in retrospect). Still get bubbles, dirt trapped under. slightly less than the sticker adhesive kind. The second one didn't fit the jig and had to be pressed in which chipped it. So now I have cracked glass glued to my screen. Note in the picture where the break is. that's because after it was lines up, the guides on the jig were too tight and had to be pushed past the jig People report that taking it off can take off an oleophobic coating on your OG screen, which sucks.

Perfecto

Quality and Easy to Install Screen Protector
This is my first time using Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector for a Google phone. I had previous and a great experience using them on Samsung phones. With the pixel 8 pro, the installation of the Whitestone Dome Glass screen protector was simply perfect. There were no excess glue, dust particles on the screen, or bubbles. It does not interfere with my camera and the installation was so seamless it doesn't even look like I have a screen protector on my phone. To get this perfect install just simply take the time to follow the instructions and YouTube video they've provided. This was so impressive I bought another pack. Only downside is the back camera film was not included in the box/package. Other than that I highly recommend this product!

The best screen protector I've ever tried
I've tried several brands and types of screen protectors during the year and this is by far the best I've ever tried. The feel and responsiveness is superb. It's like there is no screen protector cause it feels like the original screen. I would say even better than the screen in the Pixel 8 pro, which has this plastic feel and sound when tapping. The installation process seems tideous at first glance, but by following the video instructions step by step makes installation a breeze. Thanks to the jig it's difficult to place the screen protector off optimal position. The screen protector does not cover 100% to the edges, it seems that it's not the intention because it fits perfectly if you use a solid protective like the Caseology Nano Pop that I use. It's only left to see how durable it is on a long term because it is certainly not cheap.

Outstanding screen protector... Quite involved installation
The screen protector itself is amazing, coming from a Spigen one that I bought before the phone arrived only to find for some unknown reason it has a large black border that cuts off the screen... This is perfect. Almost edge to edge (about a 1mm gap due to the slight curves at the very edges on the phone) and crystal clear. Fingerprint reader is perfect. Installation is quite involved but totally worth it. Just make sure to watch the video, I ended up watching a review / installation of the same protector for a pixel 7 pro (steps are identical) and found it very helpful. As long as you follow along you won't be disappointed!
