This baby gate has been a game-changer for my house with puppies. The ultra-narrow spacing between the tubes gives me peace of mind that my furry little troublemakers won't escape or get their heads stuck. I also work from home and enjoy this gate because it helps me stay focused on my job and not what they are getting into.The unique design allows for strollers and adults to easily pass through, making life so much more convenient when coming in and out of our living room. The double lock system ensures that my pups won't figure out how to open it while still allowing quick and secure access for me. The 180 degree two-way automatic opening is incredibly handy, and installation was a breeze. This gate has made my home a safer and more controlled environment for both my babies and my fur babies. I couldn't be happier with this purchase!

Sometimes I'm in denial that I really need my glasses to read...especially when it comes to unpacking a baby gate. It wasn't until after I cut the super thick zip-tie with the warning label on it that said 'DO NOT CUT UNTIL INSTALLED' that I put them on. ~ If you do cut this zip tie the spring loaded gate will POP open and you will need to use some brute strength to get it closed while you attach something strong on it to keep it closed. I grabbed a strap, flipped the gate sideways and literally had to straddle and sit on it while I put the strap in place. Seriously it took a good 10-15 minutes to get this thing to close, and it was a challenge!I love how this gate has the very narrow spacing between the bars and optional adjustable side bars. I was afraid my very petite 7lb kitty, (who can get in the 3" space between my desk and wall), would be able to get between the bars but the spacing too narrow...YAY!!!The other things about this gate is it can be used for a regular doorway, or add the extra pieces on to block off a larger opening. I wanted to see how it would work in the hallway to the litter-box, a.k.a the grands 'treasure box' where they always want to discover buried treasure. ~This larger positioning allows me to keep the pocket door open for the kitties, protect the gym screen door and let the grands have access to the play room. The gate is about 3' high and the kitties, except my senior one can jump over it. I'm 5'8" and can step over it if needed, but the opening is perfect and opens both ways. It also has an 'anti-trip' pad that really does prevent you from tripping over the bottom rail. ~When I took it off for the smaller doorway opening I tripped over the rail. lol. This gate also closes automatically which is great if your hands are full, or are trying to distract someone from heading through the opening. This gate is solid construction and is heavy, but didn't leave 'mar-marks' on the trim after I took it down. Speaking of taking it down... remember to zip-tie or strap the opening closed before removing it from the doorway or you will be trying to figure out how to close it again like I initially was.I am incredibly pleased with and feel secure using this gate. I know it will not fall over when 'Double & Trouble' start pulling on it being the boys they are. lol*Important* - You will need to modify the installation if you are putting it in a hallway, or area without a framed opening, by placing horizontal strips of wood across the vertical 2x4's, to distribute the pressure, where the supports go, in order to prevent damaging the drywall. I felt I needed to add this just in case someone thought about using the gate between drywall without a solid surface. With the open concept designed homes not all steps/step-downs have walls by them and using this gate is a great idea to block off access to that area.

This is probably one of the best designed baby gates I have used. It has such a sturdy and durable feel to it, and it’s so easy to install. I love that this is pressure mounted, so there is no need to drill any holes or damage any walls or posts to use this. Also, I didn’t realize what a versatile design it was. You can use just the gate portion to secure a standard doorway, or you can add one or both of the extension panels to block off a wider area. The gate itself can swing in either direction, has an auto-close feature, and it will stay propped open at 90 degrees. There is a metal bar that runs along the floor at the bottom of the gate, but they do provide a threshold ramp that makes it less of a trip hazard. The latching mechanism seems to be working very well. We haven’t had any issues with it not latching/locking by itself when closed, and it’s easy to open by just sliding back the switch and lifting up a little bit. We are currently using this to secure a hallway into the laundry room, and it’s working great for us. I wanted to mention that if you are concerned about the pressure mounts damaging your drywall, or if you find the gate is just an inch or so short, they make pressure mount wall protectors that have non-slip sides to help distribute the pressure better, and they add a little bit of width as well. We had a set from a previous gate, and they are a universal size, so they fit this just fine.

This is a heavy duty baby gate that is made of a tough and strong metal frame. The gate was quick and easy to install with little efforts and without having to drill holes in the wall. The gate has narrow opening between the bars that would prevent pets from slipping between them. The gate open and closes smoothly without getting caught or getting snagged on anything. The door is wider so a baby stroller can fit through the door easily. The gate is strong and sturdy which prevented my baby and dog from crossing over to the other side or pushing the gate down. No tools are needed for the installation and the best part is not leaving permeant holes in the wall with this gate. This simple design makes the gate simple to use and operate.

This baby gate is extremely nice for extra wide areas that you need divided. It is pretty easy to install, although it is much faster with 2 people installing. The auto close safety feature is my favorite part because it if I am going through the gate with my hands full I don't have to worry if it will close. If your auto close feature is not working make sure it is set up and aligned properly. I do think the gate is a little pricey at the current price of $178.99 but all the features may make the higher price worth it. This would make a great gift for someone with little ones or animals!
