Fit and finish is excellent
Excellent roof rack holder for gas and water! I bought a couple flat metal precut and drilled steel plates to bolt them down to my basket rack and just use bungees to hold them from falling up? These holders have rubber on the bottom and sides so no noise. Couldn’t be happier!

Very solid and well built
This holder is the perfect size for my NATO standard GELG jerry can, it has only about 1/2" excess space on each side. The frame was easy to assemble with hex bolts, they even provided an allen wrench. The hex bolts make it a little less likely to be removed by a thief. You have to supply your own hold down bolts, but they could vary depending on how you mount it. The frame has to be assembled with both the locking eyes to one side, otherwise the top strap will not fit. Once the top strap is connected and locked, the can is securely mounted and cannot move, The top strap cannot be pressed down to release the u-shaped catch from the d-ring, like I have seen in a YouTube video for another brand. All the welds look solid, this is a good value.

Good, But Could Be Great With A Little More Effort
I'd much rather see the cage riveted than as an assembly. It would make things overall more secure, if not rigid. The strap hook could be defeated with pliers. It at least ought to have the hinge point where a lock could be inserted to allow hinging and removal. I get what they were doing; it's so you can use full or half-size cans. Still, a full roll end and ears would add such a minimal cost for enhanced theft prevention. Something else that could be done is regarding mounting. The mounting plate is below the plate the can rests upon, so you'll have to measure and lay-out fastener points. Through holes on the can seat would at least allow drilling pilot holes, if not (say, a screw driver). The included lock (which looks like it's from the dollar store) could be deleted to offset the improvement costs. That aside, it looks good, and as can be seen, fits a genuine Wavian can. Assembly is just eight security torx with included tool. Red Loctite might be an option on the screws, but it's unlikely some thief with a proper security torx is loitering. The dampening pads are small and probably ought to be augmented. I don't know that you could really use thicker pads, as that will ultimately affect the fit of the security strap. And you might add something for the sides, but the security strap has a curve that effectively locks the lateral movement. Still wouldn't hurt. If Sparkwhiz did these upgrades, this would be a five-star item.

My old school military jerry cans fit like a glove.

Good quality for the money
All the parts are strong and well made. Exactly what it claims to be. Very satisfied for the price. Got 2 and they both work great with my Wavian Jerry cans. I bolted the two together and that also worked well.

Weak design won't hold up on rough roads
I mounted this on a rear door mounting frame on my camper van. We then went on a 7300 mile trip around remote Quebec, Labrador, Newfoundland, Nova Scotia, prince Edward Island, and New Brunswick. While the mount technically endured the trip, it began bending (the top frame bowed away from the mounting bars) outward from the weight of the Jerry can. I ended up using a ratchet strap to hold it together. I removed the mount when we got home. If I need to carry fuel in the future, I will replace this one with a more substantial design.

👍🏼
Easy assembly. Fits the Jerry can almost perfectly.

Sub par locks.
The can holders work fine. The lock strap is worthless. You can just push the hook down and remove the cans with a padlock still attached.

Great figment on the old Jerry cans 👍🏼
