I am a Handyman, work by myself. And when I am working on siding repairs, it is always difficult to steady a 12 foot piece of fiber cement siding, which MUST to be level. Setting level is easy, of course, with chalk lines, lasers, 4 or 8' levels. But actual installing, fastening, is another matter when working by yourself. You can use screws installed on the chalk line, but then, you're piercing your house-wrap. And tape isn't strong enough either, unless you use something so heavy duty, that removing it risks ripping the house-wrap. I'm sure there are any number of hacks. BUT, why use them when you have these siding gauges that SO easily go on and come off.These gauges mader the process of installing so fast, easy, rhythmic. Felt like I had another team member and wew were crushing it. And THIS "team member" only cost $12! I work ona small margin, and hiring an assistant would have obviously cut FAR deeper into my profit margin. As well, at $12, I am not bothered if I only need a handful of times, as opposed to an expensive tool that you absolutely needed for a job, but wince at when you walk into your shop because you haven't needed it since.Also, there are alternatives for $80-90, but these will get the job done. If you're diligent and "measure twice", these are all you need.I can't recommend these enough.

This will make the installation of siding on a garage that needs new siding. As an older couple we need the extra ease of installation. Our home is 23 years old and has fiber cement siding that still looks great.

Work perfectly as designed. After reading the negative reviews and then buying, it seems as though the negative feedback is from user error and not reading small instruction details. IMO

Make sure you check your thickness of siding. This one is smaller than standard Harris planks

These are getting returned. It was too hard to remove them once set. Maybe the area we worked was too small, but I’d opt for the more expensive gecko-type if doing this again.

you cannot get these out one you nail in the siding.cause all kinds of problems for me.

These are awesome and make installing concrete siding fast and easy. Follow the simple instructions and they work as promised.

We used two sets of these to put siding on the entire house. They worked great and were very easy to figure out. Would recommend.
