As is often the case, Emile Henry comes through with beautifully crafted bowls. Large and deep enough for pasta. Exquisitely red. And truly a pleasure to look at and eat from. Very pleased with this purchase.

Dimples and pieces of sand like particles observed in the ceramic coating. I own several Emile Henry pie dishes. I have never seen such horrible quality as these pasta plates.

I ordered 10 of these.•Pic 1 - 2 are what 8 looked like. Awful overspray, more dimples, bubbles, and raw ceramic than a tween. Junk quality.•Pic 3-7 are the rest of my dishes and 1 good pasta bowl. Perfect edges, no bubbles or missing glaze or paint. No overspray.I usually expect about a 20-30% junk rate from Emile Henry but this was 90%. How could I proudly put this on the table? How can you proudly sell this to customers? These are $30 bowls! I have 12 place settings of #7. It’s $5k in Emile Henry just in tableware. What the heck?

In the process of replacing my dinnerware came across these. They are very well made, simple and neutral. They have a good weight to them and wash very well. Highly recommend.

I have had some of these bowls 20 years and use them daily. They are very durable.
