Got the 6m hook anker work well done 👏 one problem is it says use 10mm drill bit wich works but the m8 also says 10mm drill bit but that doesn't work should say 14mm drill bit other than that great product 👍 very happy

Ordered both the closed eye bolt version and the hook version - they are not the same manufacturer. If you receive the same hook ones I did, the expansion fitting is a lot wider than eye bolt version. The packet states 10mm drill bit - no way they will fit a 10mm hole (see photos). more likely to need a 12mm drill bit.

Have purchased these in the past from other sellers and the cost can be eye watering but, worth it to save hassle buying other designs, only to find they fall apart and don’t expand and hold in the wall as intended by the manufacturer. We used it to hang a privacy divider with sufficient tension, so there wasn’t any sag in the fabric like you see in student digs!

These are fairly standard items and the actual product supplied can vary quite a lot between suppliers. In my case I was looking for a specific type of these anchor bolts and after some issues with items not being exactly as described by other suppliers, I contacted an alternative seller 'AHC (Camberley) Ltd' and they could not have been more helpful, the exact variant of the product I was looking for was provided in the stated timescale and this allowed my project to complete on time. Instructions say use 10mm drill. Wrong you need at least 14mm to allow ease of insertion for strong fixing.

The anchors I received were silver and not yellow zinc. No problem for me but may be an issue for some. Use a 12mm drill bit (not 10mm as stated on the packaging) and a 10mm spanner to tighten the anchor. Well made items.
