ok
I didn’t know what to rate this book . I liked the story overall but it was too slow to my liking . Good thing good on between the love that they share but way too long to get to the point

Sorry I waited...
Ok… umm… yeah…, I honestly have no idea how to start this review😆 Shae Sanders is a new author for me, so I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started this book, but babbbby, I was hooked automatically!Jakari and Malika are a great couple. Their beginning was rocky, but the foundation they’re building isn’t shaky in the least. I love that although they were both put into an unorthodox situation, they still tried to make it work.Although this was a story about their relationship progressing, it also had heavy family involvement. The Windermeres are a big name, and that comes with big responsibilities. This book has a little of everything… suspense, treachery, deceit, truth, and love. I can't wait to jump into book 2 because of how book 1 ended. I need to see how some major things play out 😁

Wow
I just had a feeling. Not that I expected that outcome but thought things were tied together somehow. Whew. This was a great story even with the cliffhanger. Hopping on to book two right now.

3.5 for me...
This was my first book by Shae & I wasn't really impressed with the execution. The prodigy had much potential to be written with more depth. This story was very dry for me & I almost didn't finish it. We didn't really get to see anything build up or come together & there was not one scene where I felt Jakari & Mailka really explored their feelings or relationship, they just developed feelings out of no where. The ending is what intrigued me to continue with the sequel & I hope it goes deeper into everything.Happy Reading!

Good Read
1st book by this author and it didn’t disappoint. I’m happy book two is aleady out. So many people scheming, plotting, and lying. I don’t know who Kari or Mal can trust.
