Great For On-Duty Wear (Police)
I was looking for a new boot/shoe to wear on duty, I had previously worn the Viktos Johnny Combat boot for a handful of years and loved them. I wear the Viktos Overbeach shoe off duty and on special assignments and love the light weight and how comforttable they are as a whole. When I came across these shoes, it seemed like these might do the trick. They got here within two days are and are arguably more comfortable than the Overbeach and are infinitely more comfortable than the Johnny Combat. They are about 1/2" less tall, so you still have that high top look/feel, which makes it passable at my department for duty wear. The lightweight and breathability of them combined with the waterproof feature makes it where I'll probably be stocking up on these to have for the foreseeable future.

Cool style! Unlike commercial sneakers
Well made. I like the style. Designed by veterans. Love it!

Nice Shoes
I'm liking them so far. As stated in their literature, they have an oversize toebox area. I have narrow flat feet, so I adjusted fit with some Superfeet insoles and they are good to go.

Great boots. Have owned my Taculus waterproof boots for the last month and here are my impressions. They look super modern and smooth kind of like Jordan’s in a way. The boot has been great for duty so far and do not over heat my feet in 80 degree weather. I was worried with them being waterproof it would not be the best but I was wrong.I wore the boot in pouring rain today for a round of golf and the entire time my feet stayed dry.I had to put Dr Sholls inserts due to my feet. Would highly recommend these shoes to anyone

I own a ton of Viktos gear, but...
They still need to work on their footwear. I own 4 pairs of their boots/shoes. The sizing is weird on most of them. These boots are really comfortable compared to the others BUT they are not waterproof at all. Other boots that don't even have a "waterproof" badge on them are more water resistant than these. And the main reason for the bad rating is the synthetic material they're made of is very prone to permanent staining. I essentially destroyed them in 3 months of light duty use. Worth about $80, not $165!

Not as wide as I hoped
They are pretty nice, seem well constructed. They are not quite wide. I’d say slightly wider than normal, my small toe had a little pressure still.Ordered the coyote color which seems tan, but it was a much darker green tone different from the picture.

Out of the box
I got these not for any type of work/duty wear or features like being water proof. What I wanted was a pair of solid black high top shoes. These don't disappoint. Out of the box the stitching looks good and the sole feels well attached to the upper. The color on the black shoes is dark and uniform. The picture on the item on line looks a bit lighter than they are in reality, could be the light used when taking photos. If you scroll down and see the Viktos brand closeup of the toe area it's dark like that photo. They're comfortable right out of the box, even being flat footed. Wore them for a few hours and they still felt good. Supported my feet and ankles well and I had plenty of room, there was no pinching.Regarding durability, I don't know but I didn't buy them to beat the snot out of them.

Great all around shoe/boot for patrol
Im in a Chicagoland police department so we have a lot of wet and snowy weather. These boots stay very warm and dry. I think they are better then their johny combat waterproof which i previously used for about 3 years. Super light and 3/4 slip resistant on wet asphalt/concrete. After about of 2 months of patrol use they are amazing! Only ding is I wish they would have a rubberized protector on the toe area for the soft material, especially if u are doing kneeling to standing transitions on the range. I will buy these until they stop selling them!
