Excellent Product
This brilliant collar restored peace and calm to our household after my dog had a lump removed from his front leg, near the elbow. Having been supplied with the usual nightmare plastic collar when we picked him up from the vet, he spent the first day pitifully banging and crashing around the house with a desperate expression on his poor little face. By lunchtime on day 2, our other dog had started to take matters into her own hands, having been scooped up and pinned to the wall just that once too often and so, with frazzled nerves and bruised shins, I decided enough was enough and went online to search for a solution to the chaos. The Kong Cloud arrived the next day - it looked a bit like a child's blow up swimming ring with a soft fleecy cover and was just as easy to inflate. I ordered size M which was perfect for our 15 inch miniature poodle. It fit snugly round his neck without being too tight and the velcro fastening allowed for flexibilty of fit. He loved it and it had an instant calming effect - it acted as a pillow when he went to sleep and he had enough freedom of movement to get around, eat, drink and make himself comfortable, without causing damage and without being able to bend his head down far enough to reach the stitches in his leg. Had the wound been on a paw, back legs or lower body, I suspect the collar would not have been so effective, but for injuries to the upper body, this collar is ideal. After 10 days when he was healed, I removed the collar, washed the fleece cover in a gentle hand wash solution and it now looks good as new, ready for the next mishap. Wish I had known about this great invention before. All vets should supply these!

An absolute must for any dog lover
Brilliant invention - its the 2nd one I've bought as I have 2 dogs and have had the need to use the collars on both dogs at the same time.I also let other dog owners borrow it if their pet has to have surgery etcIts so much better to use one of these than those old fashioned, hard, sharp and cumbersome " lamp shades". If your pet has ever had to wear a surgical collar, you will know how horrible they are. Not only are they uncomfortable for your dog, they restrict their ability to see around them, sniffat things, eat and drink and because of the vision restriction and size of the collar, the poor things then bump into things.Love your dog? Then get one of these - you may never need it if you are very, very fortunate, but most dogs will need one at some stage in his/her life and you should keep one in readiness.

Does What it Needs to - Too Easy to Pop
Initially, my wife and I bought this product to help our puppy manage a condition called megaoesophagus. This condition is lifelong and it means she can't really eat her food properly, without the worry of being sick shortly afterwards. One way to help this problem is to have a soft, but tight cone around the neck of the dog to keep the oesophagus tight whilst eating. This product managed to do exactly that and she seemed to enjoy wearing it after the first few days, which was great. She never really tried to take it off and even ended up using it as a makeshift pillow whenever she went to sleep, as she needed to wear it for most of the day. In terms of effectiveness, I would definitely say that I'm happy with the product, but the comfort, ease of use, and effectiveness wasn't the issue with the product; it was the build. In around a span of about 3-4 months, my wife and I found ourselves buying 3 of these, due to the unfortunate fact that they just kept popping. After about a month, it would be discovered that there was a tiny, pin-prick sized hole in the inflatable tubing that for the life of me, I just could not locate when trying to fix it. I never could seem to find the reason that the tubes kept receiving this problem. After all, there were no thorns or sharp-objects in the garden or around the house that would cause such tiny damage. Plus, we never actually saw her scratching it, so it didn't appear to be the dog herself doing the damage either.Unfortunately, what it meant was every single time this hole appeared, we had to constantly keeping re-blowing it up for a couple of hours, until finally biting the bullet and purchasing another one. Don't get me wrong, the product itself is great and will do the job; providing that you're only using it on a temporary basis, hence the reason I ended up giving this product 4 stars instead of 3.I honestly think, if you only need to use the thing for about a week while your dog gets over a temporary condition, it should do the job just fine. On the flipside, however, if you're like me and needed to use the thing on a regular basis, it's not going to hold up for any longer than a month or 2 of continuous use.

Better than the vet cone we started with
My puppy absolutely hated the vet cone and quickly learnt how to get it off himself (cheeky minx) so we looked for alternatives - we were told that medical pet sleeves weren't actually great and can cause too much moisture around wounds so the only option was to go for the inflatable donut style collars - pup still didn't like it but took to it slightly better than the vet cone and more importantly he couldn't get it off - HOWEVER HE HAS BURST it within 36hrs - not ideal and have to buy another - its literally the only option on the market 😂😬

the best invention
These are a game changer and I am so glad I was introduced to the idea of an inflatable collar. The plastic cones the vets give you are so distressing for the animals (dog in this case) and this Kong collar causes her no inconvenience at all, no discomfort and she can still run up and down stairs, jump up on the sofa and eat and drink.

ridiculous!
it was the expensive product I have ever bought in my life given that it has only lasted for less than 1 minute on my cat!!! This product is not, by far, suitable for cats! Next time, I will just throw £10 on the bin that is exactly the same thing. And the thing I am even more annoyed is that I did contact the seller and explained this situation and he said he will email my contacts to product manufacturer (Kong) and they will contact me back. This was on the 1st May and I am still waiting. I know I will never get my money back but at least a quick email with a lousy explaination. It is a least they can do to a very unhappy customer. Therefore, I do not recommend anynone to buy anything from Kong.

Works for corgi
This type of collar works well for my Corgi. As a medium sized dog but with short legs, the cone type catches on the carpet when the dog tries to walk. This collar simply prevents her from reaching her incision but allows free movement to walk and provides a "pillow" for sleeping. Great product!

Good Alternative to the Elizabethan Collar
Bought for my smaller-than-average female ragdoll(x) after spaying. The Elizabethan that the Vet put on her didn't fit, and she kept simply slipping out of it. In addition, when it did stay on, she was unable to navigate her food or water bowls without significant assistance. This is the perfect size for her, and she is able to eat and drink with it on. Im less worried about her doing herself an injury with it as well, as it is much softer than the previous collar.Additionally, she doesn't seem to be able to reach the site of her operation. If that doesn't change in the coming days, I'd happily add the 5th star.
