BEWARE OF POT PLACEMENT!! SAFETY ALERT!!
The two pots included for this double boiler fit much tighter than most double boilers. The two pots ALSO look almost identical and it's not very obvious which goes on top. I accidentally switched the pots - using the one intended for the bottom on the top. The pots became suctioned and EXPLODED. I was badly injured and had to be transported via ambulance to a hospital with a special burn unit. Thankfully I have healed and am OK but this could have been avoided if the pots were clearly labeled and there's no reason for them to fit SO tightly! I would NOT recommend purchasing this product - a safer option would be a double boiler that doesn't have such a tight seal.

I have an induction stove top and this pot is perfect no problems at all !! The quality is fantastic and it’s a very nice weight. And it’s made here in the USA !!

Inside chipping after ONE USE ONLY! Beware buyers
I used this for the first time the other day. I only boiled chicken and after using the inside of pot is chipping all over. This is defective. I hope the manufacture sees my review. I am so so so disappointed.

The best part...
Fantastic pot! The bottom is nice and thick and heats evenly, even when on a small burner. The sides are thin, which reduces the overall weight. it has a nice lip so that when you're pouring it doesn't run down the side. And the best part wasn't even mentioned in the description (that I could see): it has measurements engraved on the side! Perfect for when you need to add multiple cups of water or anything else! I will say that it seems to stain fairly easily, but I'm still so pleased overall I gave it 5 stars!

Tot quality
what's not to like with a good quality, stain double boiler? Of course, I'll admit that I did not buy this for cooking unless one can say that melting beeswax, pine resin and jojoba oil - making beeswax clothes as a substitute for plastic, is cooking. VERY pleased.

Not the best quality. Returning it.
Maybe I got a dud since all the other reviews make it sound awesome. I received the double boiler and used it after washing it. I make Macarons and use a double boiler to make soft candy (118 Celsius ) for part of my recipe. I used my old double boiler all the time. It was thick and good quality. It was just too small. So I ordered this one. Instantly I could tell the quality was not the best. Very light weight. But I gave it a try. My sugar started burning on the (inside) sides of the pan and took my soft candy from a clear color to a murky light brown from the bits of burnt sugar. I’ve never had this happen before. And it seems to take longer than usual to get to soft candy/sugar the temperature I needed. This double boiler was cheap (bought it for around $24) and lesson learned “you get what you pay for”.I will be returning it and buying something more substantial.

Pros and Cons
Really like the look of this pot and the fact that with the glass lid it's easy to see how food is cooking without removing it. The pot is medium/light weight. Heats up fast and cooks evenly. However, the first time I used it, two discolorations developed in the bottom. I had cooked soup, so it wasn't anything drastic or at high heat. Even using Bartenders Friend (which usually removes anything) didn't work. I still like the pot but am unhappily surprised that it would stain so easily and quickly.

Perfect for soups
Let's face it. Stock pots are gigantic. Good for pasta (which i seldom make) and making broth. Which i don't do. My last soup pan was too small, but this is perfect. Now i can make whatever soup i want without worrying about the size. And the measurements inside + see through lid are great features! Can't go wrong with stainless.

Horribly to clean.
The Ridge that forms the seal between the two parts is not sealed off on the inside thus sauces get stuck in there and you need to take a toothbrush to clean it out.
