Daughter wont wear anything other than Altra Running
I purchased these for my Daughter who is 12 now. She wont wear anything other than Altra running and will not wear anything with elevation in the heels, so options are limited. There are the minimalist runners and those are out of the question for wearing to school. Anyways, she loves these. The last model she was wearing was the lone peaks as they fit well but hard to find in her size now. She was a bit hesitant over the Outroad's but since wearing them, its all good

Great Performance Questionable Quality
These shoes are very comfortable. Even with the slimmer fit they are still roomier than my previous Brooks. Since I started running in them 4 months ago, the knee pain I was experiencing has gone away. My only complaint is that on one shoe a hole has formed in the top of the toe where the mesh meets the rubberized coating. Considering the cost, for a running shoe that I’ve only had for 4 months and put at most 250 miles on, I’m disappointed that they’re already tearing. I reached out to Altra Warranty but unfortunately they consider it normal wear and tear. So, I may look for another zero-drop shoe brand when it’s time to replace these shortly.

Not so durable!
I do a lot of trail running but also run on pavement from my home to the trail, so I wanted a shoe that could do either. Not expecting to wear it for long runs, mostly runs in the 4-8 mile range. These shoes were highly rated for road + trail, but after only 40 miles in them, they are deteriorating quickly. The sole is OK so far, but there is a hole forming in the upper where my toes must be hitting the top of the shoe and the heel is already fraying. I don't think I will get more than 200 miles out of these before they are toast. Also, these have a pretty built up arch, and my feet don't love that (though that may be a desirable feature for others). Not a whole lot of protection under the ball of the foot (they don't have a rock plate), so not great for very rocky trails (at least for me). Pretty disappointed--I was really hoping to find the perfect road to trail shoe.

Not the same as old
Altra shoes used to be SO comfortable and durable. Got a new pair and They are the most uncomfortable gym shoe I have ever put on. The last pair was uncomfortable but eventually felt okay. But I’ve worn these for a month and finally ordered some new brooks. I just can’t put them on every morning anymore. The back broke down quickly too. Altras have changed and not in a good way.

Good level of support
There is a great amount of padding and support in the base of these trainers, which for running outdoors on more uneven terrain have been great to provide an additional layer of support. The wider style of the toe at the top gives my toes a bit of extra wiggle room so they are not rubbing as much when I’m running and my foot moves forward slightly in them. It does have quite a built up arch which is more to personal taste, and took a bit of getting used to for me. I have quite narrow feet so I like the slimline effect of these, as a lady with size 9 feet, shoes often look too big/bulky on me.I tried the trainers in the gym a couple of times and wouldn’t necessarily recommend them there (especially for any weight training) as there’s too much going on in the shoe in terms of the arch/support material. The trainers themselves are quite thick in material, so are great for running outside where it’s colder, but I found them too warm in the gym.I think for £90 for these they are a bit too expensive for what they deliver, but overall they are a decent pair of running trainers.

Slim fitting
This pair of ALTRA Women's Outroad 2 Road Running Hybrid trainers are as mentioned in the listing more suited to a slim foot than a wide or standard one. They are comfortable to wear and the way the front of the trainer splays out and gives you more toe room really makes a difference when jogging. They are made for wearing from road to trail and they certainly feel supportive and I have found them suitable for both types of terrain although they are hand wash only so I would not like to get them too muddy. I like the attention to detail and support that has gone into both the upper and the sole of this trainer. It grips the ground well as you run with the central 'trailclaw' inclusion adding to the grip. I have not had these trainers long enough to determine their durability but in the short term I am pleased with them.

Smart looking and lightweight
Really smart looking shoes that feel lightweight and strong. User is very happy with them, she uses them for jogging and playing netball. Says they fit well and are extremely comfortable.

good option for casual runners
These shoes offer a comfortable and supportive fit, making them perfect for my daily runs on the road. The cushioning feels great, especially on longer runs. My feet didn't feel sore or achy even after pounding the pavement for a few miles. They're also lightweight and breathable, which is important for keeping my feet cool and dry. The soles seem to have good grip too. I felt confident running on both dry pavement and even some light rain without any slipping or sliding. However, the arch support isn't the strongest.
