Double Wall Glass 1.7 Liter Electric Tea Kettle with Color Changing LED Lights

Excellent produce. Works just as described. The kettle goes through different light phases until it reaches boiling. The actual boiling of water happens within 2 min. or so. Easy to clean and maintain. Only thing that causes one to wonder is when it appears that water has gotten between the double glass. Don't see any breaks or cracks but now and again, you can see fog between the two panes. It dries up though, with no issues.

Heats up quickly. The pretty changing colors serve the purpose of informing you of the temperature of the water as it heats. A guide is included to suggest what temperature is best for what you are heating the water for. I usually use it for making hot chocolate. I never knew the water didn't have to be actually boiling to add it to my hot chocolate mix! When the color is light green (looks more greenish yellow to me), it's time to pour the water. All the other colors look like the color stated - it's just the one called "light green" that appears more yellow. When the color is bright red, you have boiling water. I am pleased with this practical and fun to use product!

This kettle is amazing. It holds a lot more water than previous ones I have had. It is a good quality, solid kettle. It’s fast, quiet and has beautiful colors that change as the water temperature increases. Would definitely buy again. Easy to use and auto shuts off once water is boiled.

I wish I had invested in this product sooner. My stove top tea kettle was damaged and I have been boiling water in a sauce pot which is inconvenient and time consuming. This electric kettle boils water super fast. I like it has a color display that changes as it nears the boiling point which allows me to be ready to use it when it comes to a full boil as it does not whistle like a stove top kettle. I found this useful for boiling water for rice, instant bone broth, ramen, and hydrating dried fruits like raisins for baking. I have even boiled water for cleaning. So easy, fast and convenient, It shuts itself off once it reaches a full boil. Very happy with this purchase,

Would give it another star but the spout area needs improvement. There is a small gap on either side that makes the water pour not as clean when it comes out. (Attached photo to see the gaps) so water also goes out of there not just the screened area. But overall it’s a good pot. We use it daily, walls are cool to the touch and seems to heat water pretty quickly. Cool color changes too while heating.

Can’t say enough how good this ELECTRIC kettle is, we already have one that my wife ordered, so I had to get another one for downstairs kitchen, it boils water really quick and provides access to boiled water very fast so when I’m cooking plov for example, and need hot water to add to the rice. I have access to it really fast. And also the double wall feature is great because you’re not gonna burn your hands on it boils water really fast and provide you with a large quantity. I would totally recommend this one. We had another one for a long time now and it’s still works just like it did when we first got it.

There's a glaring safety issue with this kettle. I'm not sure if it's just mine, or if it's a design flaw, but I need to speak to someone at Hamilton Beach about it. I've only had this kettle since June last year, and the lid now doesn't stay closed when there's hot water in it. Unfortunately this means when you try to pour boiling water with it, the boiling water leaks out of both sides of the spout. If you happen to be holding a cup at the time, you're going to get burned as the water pours all over your hand. Very unimpressed. Find something safer instead.
