This is actually my second time buying these. I bought my first set about 2 years ago (see pics). I only had them up for about a year before I moved, and in the process of moving I threw them out for some reason. I've just moved again so I got another 2 pack to hang up. The only reason I didn't buy some for my house last year is because the ceilings were too high. But I'm really excited to put them up in my new apartment!I recommend using Command light clips to hang the lights up and Eneloop or Amazon Basic rechargeable batteries.I used one remote to control both strings and set them both on the timer. I set them for nighttime so they'd be on while I settled into bed and stay on until a little after I fell asleep. When you press the timer button, it will stay on for 6 hours and then come on at the same time everyday. I had mine on 8pm-2am.With the lights on 6 hours/day, I had to recharge my batteries every 2 or 3 weeks, which I didn't mind. You'll know it's time to recharge or get new batteries when the lights start getting dim.Overall, I LOVE these lights and I'll definitely repurchase if I ever need more. :)

Not my idea of “warm white” even on the lowest dim setting. They are more of a fluorescent warm white. The lights easily tangle and kink because they are made of very thin copper wire. Because the lights are spaced apart about 4 inches, you really have to over-loop them so less wire and more lights are showing. A little disappointed because I thought the wires would look more subtle on my banister than regular Christmas lights, and they might if incorporated in greens. They do have 8 different settings and are dimmable to an extent. I also like the timer and remote. Each strand takes 3 AA batteries and the black switch inside the battery pack also controls them like the remote. They came wound around a tube which was somewhat helpful in keeping them untangled. I won’t be using these as Christmas lights as intended but since they are waterproof, they are worth keeping for other ideas. I blame technology for these lights being not what I expected, since we still can’t take photos of lights that are accurate representations of how they look in real life.

One of the box of string light/Bright Lights did not ever work at all. I could not use them.

I purchased several packs of these to use for my daughter's wedding. They transformed our backyard into a beautiful venue, and I have left them up for the rest of the summer to enjoy on cool evenings. (Photos is post-wedding shot.) They give off a gorgeous warm white light but do not expect them to shine onto the ground. We use them to show the outline of trees when it gets dark. I used 4 strands on a very large Maple with 3 huge branch offshoots, 3 on a smaller dogwood that went a good 2/3 of the way up the tree and along finer branches, and another on some lattice fencing. The remote makes them SO EASY to turn off and on. I just use the same remote for all the strands, which turn on one at a time with each click. They have held up through some torrential downpours and high winds, although some have started to unwind from the tree (they are stapled on) due to very rambunctious squirrels. Hope this helps others!

Ours are lasting forever. We have been using them for 2 - 4 or more hours per night for the last two weeks and I STILL haven't had to change batteries. I was worried when I saw some reviews suggesting that the suck batteries, but that has not been my experience at all. And I am using rechargeable batteries (which don't last as long (per charge) as Alkalines do)! Couldn't be more satisfied!

I use these lights in mantel decoration and seasonal displays. This is the third time i've ordered sets. I have no complaints at all. With the clever timer, I can come home to cheery lights, especially nice during the fall and winter. I also use them under the crown of my patio umbrella, light weight and can be attached with a stitch or two to the fabric hem. the 3 AA batteries last weeks with timer use, and all season with the remote on the umbrella.

Wanted to light up the two trees in front of the house but had no way to get power to them. Then I found theses lights and since they were so inexpensive I though I would give them a try. The description said that they could be set for a certain amount of time. I didn't have much faith that the battery's would last very long or that the timer would work. Each set come with a remote but one remote will work on all the sets. I was amazed How great theses little lights worked. All the strings would come on and go off with in minutes of each other once the time was set. The batteries lasted for four weeks being lite even night for 5 hours during December.

Cons: I am a direction girl. Their included directions are not legible. Suggest they use different batteries to extend the use time without having to replace. Had trouble with timer but online comments from users clarified. Hope for better results tonight.Pros: was going to return expected the standard type lights and I was unfamiliar with this type. So glad I kept them. Extremely easy to put on my potted door shrubs.. I had my doubts, but they are nice and bright for outside display. Nice item happy with value for cost. Hope they last.
