I always wondered about this old Asian Steamer and finally purchased one. I love steaming my fish in this wonderful Asian steamer. It steams the fish perfectly and so easy to use. Just lay in a pot of boiling water, lay fish on a heat resistant plate on top of steamer, put cover on and steam. I recommend this ancient Asian Steamer. Try it. You’ll love it!!

I love how this steams veggies. I read how to use it before I bought it which is good because there are no instructions that come with it. Also make sure you measure the pan you’re going to steam it in because my large pans weren’t large enough, but it does fit perfectly on top of the pan. I would recommend this for steaming vegetables.

I'm not sure how long one of these is supposed to last. I bought mine almost 4 years ago and after 3 years it started to all apart. I went to use it tonight. It's still functional but the bindings holding the slats in place a coming apart. I just ordered a new one (different brand).

This is a great steamer for the price and it will last a very long time if properly cared for. Well made steamer and this one as most others are hand made so no two are exactly alike. Thick walls and tray bottoms. I use steamer papers to line the bottoms Air fryer papers work well as they are perforated and are less expensive than steamer papers and they make cleanup much easier. After every use of the steamer, clean it. Rinse it out and dry it completely to avoid mold. I turn my oven on to 200 degrees for about 5 minuets, shut it off and then place steamer into oven (pieces separated) until the oven becomes cool. No mold should grow.

This steamer is great for steaming vegetables and fish. I made an awesome steamed vegetable, shrimp, and rice dish. It’s easy to use and cleanup is a breeze. Best of all, the vegetables cook perfectly and the health benefits of cooking without stir frying is a great benefit as well. I highly recommend.

When first taking this out of the package, it had a lot of splintered edges and sides and a mimd but noticeable chemical smell. Once I removed the bits and pieces and gave the baskets a wash, it was good to use. Once cleaned up, the item is pretty sturdy and works as intended.

VERY very well packaged, shipped next day. People who complain about little bamboo "hairs" or the copper wires have never had a steamer before. This is how they are for home, restaurants, etc. Relax. No smell or discoloration. Great product. Run it through 1-3 steamer cycles to clean and prepare it ahead of first use. Use it with perforated parchment paper for best results. As these things go they can be pretty poorly made. I had my concerns. I thought I’d take a chance so I ordered it. It’s better than I had hoped for. It’s sturdy and definitely well made. The weight of the wood is perfect and the pieces go together beautifully. I certainly recommend.
