Thick paper, dark lines, perfect for my notes!
I use gel ink and write a ton of notes. The cream colored paper and dark blue lines are easy on my eyes, and the paper is thicker than other 'bargain' notebooks I've gotten. The price is good for the number of notebooks in the pack and each cover has a different color. The only recommendations I would make would be to make them 100 sheets and to make it easier to slide the paper over the spiral-sometimes it takes a little more effort to slide over. But, I'm so happy that I can use black gel ink, flip the notebook over, and still read read my writing without it being affected much by the writing on the other side.

Never too many steno pads!
I find steno pads immensely useful for note-taking and general memoranda from day to day. Theyre the perfect size and the top-edge spiral makes writing in them easier. This set is pretty nice. The paper a decent enough thickness, not the tissue-paper stuff that a lot of steno pads use, but it's still thin enough to read ball-point pen through on the other side, so I knocked a star off for that.Otherwise, nice set and I use them a lot.

Nice to write on
These pads are great. Good quality paper, not the cheap, thin stuff. The pages flip easily and you can tear them out when done using. The covers are stiff without being excessively so.

Quality is only ok...
I've been using a vintage-look steno book for a few years now. I use notebooks constantly, cause if I don't write it down immediately, I Forget it, lol! Anyway, I tried to save myself some money by buying this package of notebooks. I must say, great price. However, the paper is fairly thin, compared to what I'm used to. I'm a heavy-handed writer, and I managed to tear right through this paper.Worst of all, for me, is that the back cover, which I've always like to be thick and sturdy, is NOT, at all. If I pick up a notebook and try to write in it while holding it, these cheap, thin backs just flop right under, making it impossible to write. Especially stinks when I'm using them for my grocery list, carrying it around the store. I Need that supportive back cover! Ah, well, live and learn. If you're looking for inexpensive notepads, and don't mind a floppy writing surface, you'll do alright with these, they Are a bargain.

Excellent Steno Tablet/Notebooks. I Would Highly Recommend.
These Steno tablets are perfect for my uses. They are a great value, 10 in a pack breaks down to $1.67 per 80 pages Steno notebooks. They come 10 in a pack and offer a variety of nice colors. The paper is of good quality. It has nice bright lines on it and is great for making lists and other notes. Each booklet comes in a variety of colors, the first two I took out were a nice pastel of pink and the other blue. I initially thought is was just those colors but realized later each one is a different color which is great for designating the different colors to different subjects. With each one containing 80 pages , that gives you 160 pages per notepad on front and back of each page. There is a good spiral at the top and is perfectly sized for flipping the pages. I'm left handed, these notebooks are an excellent choice for me since the spiral is at the top and remains out of the way.I would highly recommend these Steno book note pads. They are perfect for making lists, and other kinds of writings.I rate these: 5-star rating and an A+++ for these.

Not water resistant.
Not really sure why they asked me to rate the water resistance on these - they are pads of note paper, not exactly intended to be used underwater? So no, they are not water resistant any more than any other paper would be... I mean, they aren't paper towels, so they aren't made to be absorbent either, but if you're writing in the pouring rain, your notebook is going to get wet. If that concept shocks you, then you probably have bigger concerns in life than reading the reviews on steno pads...These are your standard steno pads, pink line down the middle of the page, wide ruled, wirebound at the top. I like steno pads for general use, making lists, etc. and these are just fine. Plus you get ten in the package, so you won't run out of note paper anytime soon.
