Ordered the medium. Overall seems very well designed. The low height (22ish inches) was perfect for a sitting shot. The upper height (40 inch) was ample for a kneeling shot over tall brush. They nailed this. Had some issues getting the magnetic attachment to seat in my rifle as well as my Spartan-branded equipment but nothing I couldn’t live with. The reason I gave it 4 stars (and am returning it) was that at 1.5lbs it’s way heavier than my shooting sticks and not as functional as my tripod. For a backpack hunter it’s just a bit too heavy. Had it been made out of carbon fiber it would’ve been perfect. At this price, it probably should have been. If you’re a truck hunter, this thing would be awesome.

works great, super steady

So we ordered both the short and medium sets of these sticks. First the spartan magnaswitch mounting base is awesome. Simple to install and very easy to connect the sticks to your gun. Now for the Primos sticks. They are similar in operation to any other primos shooting stick. They operate well and are super easy to adjust. They do run a bit heavy as they are made out of aluminum, but if you are not backpack hunting and shaving weight, they should not be an issue. For what they are, they offer good stable shooting support. The mediums work great for sitting and kneeling. However the short sticks are way too tall for prone shooting and not long enough for sitting. The only way the prone sticks work is if you are shooting up or downhill and there is slope where you are laying prone. On a flat surface, they are WAY too high to use. The are also too high to use on a shooting bench, so not really sure what they were designed for or if anyone really tested them out. I’m going to keeep them, but doubt they will ever get much use compared to the medium length sticks.
