The Great Gatsby (Masterpiece Library Edition)

Ordered for my daughter, a college student who has just discovered a love for the classics. She's beginning her collection and while we don't have tons of money to purchase really nice originals, she's thrilled with how pretty this one is as well as the novel itself. I'd order additional books.

My daughter loved this book, not just the story but the way the book looks.

this is a perfect hard cover book, very well made. Everyone knows this story so I have no comment for that; it's the kind of story worth reading many times.

Looking back a century on, it is difficult to see that Fitzgerald "defined a generation". He eloquently depicted a newly rich culture in the urban east. There was a broader experience in the US than just those elites, however.

Beautiful book! What an amazing deal!

A classic romantic tragedy. Like a jazz age Shakespeare might write. Although it leaves part of the story shrouded in mystery, it gives the reader enough to enjoy.

I have read it three times. It never seemed so meaningful and powerful as it did this time. September, 2025.

terrific book. remember reading this when i was at university and really enjoyed it, including the movie. saw this on special for £0.00 so it was a no brainer to grab it. thoroughly enjoyable read.

From pictures it looked premium, in reality not at all

Not much else to say for the price. The book seems to be well put together.

Have now purchased five books with this publisher. They are reasonably priced (I did buy them when they were marked down) and well worth the money. Got my classic faves: Pride & Prejudice, Jane Eyre, Wuthering Heights & Little Women.
