Women Vintage Velvet Skinny Scarf/Choker Scarf Tie/Silk Ribbon Sash

The belt itself is nice, not too long or too short, and the material goes very well if you need to match it to either suede or velvet. However, the smell was awful! I got it to go with an outfit for Thanksgiving, and it arrived in the mail the day I left, so I packed it unopened in my suitcase. On Thanksgiving morning, I took it out of the package, and it smelled like mildew. I thought it just needed to air out, but no. Not even a spritz of perfume could hide it. I thought you could only smell the odor if you put your nose to it, and who is going to do that to my belt? I was wrong. My twelve year old son pulled me aside to as me what that smell was ... ugh. I changed immediately after dinner. I did wash it when I got home; I hand washed with warm water and a good smelling detergent, and I hung to dry. The smell is gone, so that is good. Moral of the story: wash before wearing.

I have a men’s smoking jacket from the 1940’s but it was missing it’s velvet belt. It works well. It’s a stretchy fabric but well made. I’m super picky about quality so if this felt like really cheap junk I would have returned it. It’s great for what I needed it for. It arrived fast too.

NOT VELVET. This is a sateen product, flimsy and thin material - definitely NOT VELVET. Very soft and long, true that. Seems sturdy however I was replacing a belt for a wrap around robe. This is not what I was expecting. I believe it works for most however I wish the description was more accurate.

I wore this velvet skinny scarf like a tie on top of my silk shirt on NYE. It was a hit! Everyone complimented me on the look. This one's a keeper!

Lovely and work great for hair scarves or ties for blouses and other purposes. They are kind of long, which worked great for me; but, but you may want to check measurements for your purposes.
