Sprays a lil crazy for the bathtub. Would be better for outdoor pool.

We purchased this for a new bath toy for our grandson for Christmas. After opening and putting the batteries in 3x it doesn’t work. Very disappointing.

Ordered this as part of a Christmas gift for my almost 7 month old. I’m getting him a few new bath toys since he’s now graduated from the infant sling to a sitting position and I’m so excited for him to open this! I tested it out and the stream that comes out is perfect with either shell attachment. Not too much to make a mess but just enough to keep his attention. Can’t wait for him to use this for the fist time! Will update this review once he does

Our 10-month old niece has had a great fear of taking baths. We weren’t sure if it was a fear of being in a tub or just an overall fear of water. Her parents have been sponge bathing her and hoping that she’d eventually overcome her fear so that bath time wouldn’t be such a turmoil.This very aptly named Adorable Sea Lion seems to have done the trick. Whether she has overcome her fears or is just distracted to the point of calmness, our niece has fallen in love with this cute little critter and bath time has recently become a pleasure.You can get at least three different spray patterns from this little gal. Without the shell or baby sea lion attached, the mama sprays a powerful fountain from the spout hole. With the attachments in place, you get two different spray patterns. In any of the modes, the sea lion is assured to elicit smiles and laughs from your baby or toddler.There is a very easy to follow page of directions included. You have a choice of two colors for the sea lion: pink or Tiffany blue. We went with the blue.Powered by three (3) AAA batteries that are well protected inside the toy, the entire sea lion feels very sturdy and waterproof. She floats along as she sprays and she’s a great incentive for kids to bathe. In fact, it’s such a sturdy toy that you could even use her in a swimming pool – although I don’t know if the body of the sea lion would hold up long time against pool chemicals. It’s something to consider.Always supervise bath time for babies and toddlers and make sure they are safe. Add this sprinkler toy to the activity to have some fun and a clean kid.

This is such a cute bath time toy. The sprayer works well and as my son gets older I think he will enjoy switching out the attachments himself. It’s very well made and I actually prefer that it takes regular batteries instead of being rechargeable since that means I can never forget to have it charged!

This toy was fun for about 2 Uses then stopped working! The little motor that pushes water up just stopped.

Update for 1/4/2024:We really enjoyed this toy while it lasted, but that wasn't for too long.After using it off and on for only two months during bath time, the motor has failed.We tried to put new batteries in and the motor kicked on and off irregularly and then failed completely.I also tried a different set of batteries, checking and cleaning the little propeller for the motor, but was unsuccessful.___Original review:Ordered for toddler for more bath time activities.Came with baby sea lion and sea shell with different spray patterns.Setup was extremely easy. Batteries not included (x3 AAA).Batteries popped, screwed tight, and started working without any issues.Tried to use with the interchangeable nozzles (shell and baby sea lion), but they fall off a little too easily when being handled by a toddler. Using it with no nozzle and it sprays a nice fountain of water straight up. With the nozzles on, it sprays a little further around with the sea shell and a little taller single stream with the sea lion. While spraying, because of the way the motor works, the sea lion spins and moves around. Super cute.It's only used in the bath and outdoors in a small toddler pool, but the materials seem pretty durable. It has been knocked around in the tub pretty much every night since we received it. Still running off of the same three AAA batteries.Overall, I'd recommend this for making bath time and pool time more fun. It's super cute, easy to use, seems built well, and sprays all over the place with the two little attachments. Only concern is with the sea shell since it seems a little small, but we don't use it and keep it stored.
