This looks cute but is very small, poorly made from substandard materials and the design is not correct for solitary bees. They are, like it says, solitary. The pieces of bamboo are not proper tunnels (which the bees like) but in fact just a shallow front which leads into a large hollow interior where all the bees would be piled together. And the little hook to hang it is on the top back, which would make it lean forward at a 45 degree angle. The company (not Amazon as I thought) charges half the price to send it back. Make your own solitary bee house. You will be happier.

This bee house is great! I am very pleased. I put it up the end of summer and within a few weeks had bees in it. I am extremely dedicated to helping bring back the bees. Worth every penny.

Advertised it could be used outdoors if in a protected area... nope ... and that’s the whole concept behind this item. Bought a pair and after the first rain they began to fall apart from the moisture and it was too late to return them. Very disappointed.
