This gadget was a lifesaver when I changed my kitchen cupboard hinges from exposed to hidden hinges. I would highly recommend using this. It was incredibly easy to use and I had flawless results.

This is easily a five-star product with one slight addition to the design. The lack of screw hole pilot options is the only detractor. The one defined screw hole location isn't sufficient for many of the recessed hinges on the market. Add some additional pilot hole locations and you have a winner in every way. Still a very nice product and I would highly recommend it. I drilled dozens of holes in hard maple doors and the bit just kept digging. Durable and precise.

I did installation of hinges without this tool before, and it was very difficult to position holes accurately and set a proper depth. This tool makes it a dream - very fast, accurate and free from mistakes. Accurate position and depth on plywood and particle boards. Pays for itself on a couple cabinets.
