Friendly Soap Handmade Natural Lavender & Geranium Shampoo Bar - Relaxing, Rich, Nourishing 95g, 1 unit

I know it’s described as a shampoo bar but I use this to wash my face and it’s absolutely gorgeous, it’s creamy and leaves my skin glowing, cleansed and nourished. My daughter was suffering with reactions from cleansers and moisturisers so I told her to try this instead, after just 3 days her skin was clear of irritation. I can’t recommend it highly enough and it’s smells good too.

I am pleasantly surprised at how soft this leaves my hair. It is easy to use. I just wet the soap bar and rub underneath my hair onto my scalp, It lathers well and feels nice. I have the un-fragranced bar as get skin irritation from perfumes and linalool. It is surprisingly hard to find many products that omit linalool. I have been using shampoo bars for 4 to 5 years now and I am so pleased I can make this small step to reduce plastic bottle waste. I hadn't tried this brand before so decided to give it a go and very pleased I did. This also has the advantage of being a better price, as some of the shampoo bars are quite expensive, but it is still a really nice shampoo. It comes in a cardboard box and absolutely no plastic in the packaging! Hooray! I realise I had just presumed that shampoo had to come in a bottle , but now I have adapted my habits and now find it easier to have a bar of shampoo. It is much easier to travel with too. No leaking into your wash bag or messing about at the airport with a liquids bag! It also says it is made in the UK, so hopefully reducing those travel miles and associated CO2!!

This is my second Shampoo Bar from this company and a new scent. The packaging is all cardboard, and there are no frills. It is a basic bar of soap - which is fine, it's great to see more companies embracing no plastic. These bars work well though when I first tried them I was sceptical as to whether they'd lather up and actually work. They lather well, just like shampoo from a bottle! Wet hair really well before you begin and simply run the bar over your head. They do take longer to rinse off and you want to make sure it is all off otherwise your hair feels heavy and dull. But if rinsed well, there's no difference from using a regular shampoo. My only negative is the lack of smell, you can't really smell it, which is disappointing and the reason I lowered my rating. In a crowded space with many new competitors coming in with bars in cute tins and exotic scent combinations, I think it is an issue that needs consideration. It is the reason I would try a competitor in the future. Bottom line - I've tried two different products from this company and though the products work, they are missing a beautiful smell to capture the full shampoo experience and because of this, I wouldn't purchase again.

I have used many shampoo bars in the past and wanted to try this one because of the scent and price. The bar smells very nice and lathers well on my hands- however- it didn’t fully lather well on my head and when I rinsed it out my hair felt like straw! It looked like straw! It was awful how it stripped my hair. I dried it with a hairdryer and my hair continued to feel wet/greasy/ waxy- like something was left on it and it looked terrible. My hair is flat, greasy, sticky, no movement and I’m going to have to rewash and super condition to get my hair back to its shiny and soft ways, instead of this dull straw waxy nest on my head. So disappointed because the scent is lovely and no idea why it did this to my hair.

These shampoo bars do a good job on my hair, last long enough, and I like that I am not sending a plastic bottle to recycling every month.

First time I've used a shampoo bar and it was because I was camping on my motorcycle. Had this in a 180ml Sistema pot (i recommend for travelling) for washing my hair and body. Scent is great and it certainly got me clean on the body but I found it left my hair feeling greasy on the lengths as if I couldn't wash all the soap off no matter how hard I tried. Was a hell of a lot better than using their multi purpose soap on my hair (my hair set like concrete haha) but a lot worse than regular cheap shampoo. Will be trying a more expensive brand next time as I think the price point is just too low to be good quality.

Lathers up very easily in hair and feels luxurious, very easy to use, smells great. I was looking to reduce plastic bottles in the bathroom and tried this as my first shampoo bar. It is a fantastic addition to the bathroom. While using the bar, it feels easiest to tilt my head forward and stroke the bar over my short hair back to front, so my arms don't reach as high up, but that just causes a bit of soapy water to go over my face and mildly irritates my eyes. That is a user problem, though. Just remember to tilt your head back when using and it's no different from any other shampoo that I might use. It is very strong soap, and might be more drying than bottle shampoo if you're used to that. You might find additional conditioner helpful in your hair routine if your hair is longer than a standard mens short back and sides. I find it leaves my hair quite soft, but my partner finds it leaves their hair feeling drier than usual. I'd have no problems buying this brand again, but trying a different scent as the eucalyptus scent has not been a big hit in the family. Again, that's a personal preference and not a problem with the bars scenting.

I've only used it 3 times so far but I can already tell that this bar is far better than liquid shampoo. I have thick long curly hair and recently found out I'm not supposed to be using shampoo with sulphate in it. So I bought this shampoo bar to see if it's better. So far my scalp is a little less itchy and my hair isn't coming out at all. My curls are curlier, soft and shiny. I used the bar to make lots of lather and thoroughly wash my scalp and hair then rinse well. After I use conditioner. This will stop the waxy feeling others are getting. After just style as you normally would. I used a bit of spray. Oh, and it smells lovely too!

Ich habe länger gesucht und nach vielen vergeblichen Versuchen diese Shampoo Bar für meine Haare gefunden. Sie schäumt schön und ist für meine Locken gut geeignet. Man darf allerdings nicht vergessen, eine SAURE RINSE nach dem Waschen der Haare zu machen, vor allem wenn man kalthaltiges Wasser zuhause hat. Es kann sonst Kalkseife auf dem Kopf entstehen und das ist keine schöne Sache. (Ich mache die mit etwas Apfelessig und Wasser. Die Mischung gebe ich in eine alte Shampooflasche und schütte sie mir nach dem Haarewaschen einfach über die Haare. Am Ende noch eiskalt abspülen, damit alles schön glänzt, Fertig :o)) Es empfiehlt sich allerdings, zusätzlich zur Seife ab und zu eine Spülung für die Haare zu machen oder etwas Öl in die Haarspitzen zu geben. Sie werden sonst leicht trocken.

Te deja el cabello súper limpio y es amigable con el medio ambiente. Una vez te acostumbras a esto, si vuelves a usar shampoos comerciales sentirás el pelo como muerto de tanto químico.

Love Friendly brand and this one smells amazing!

A trend I noticed with a lot of the bad reviews was that they used the shampoo bar for one day and decided they didn’t like it. That’s not how this bar works!! You have to commit. The instructions specifically tell you that there’s a transition period with your hair and you have to use it for a while to get the desired results. I have fine, straight hair; I’ve been using this bar every other day for about 3 weeks. It did feel waxy and heavy at first, but it didn’t look bad. Now that it’s transitioned it’s soft, smooth, and has tons of volume. And the bar doesn’t look like it’s decreased in size at all! Remember that the harder your water, the longer it will take your hair to transition. Great purchase, eco-friendly, smells great, lasts forever!

Le mélange de lavande et de géranium donne bien le merveilleux parfum que j'espérais. Le concept du shampoing solide est tout à fait pratique. J'ai un problème avec le rinçage qui laisse mes cheveux collants et je suis obligée de procéder à un shampoing supplémentaire différent.
