Vileda 100 Hot Spray Mop with Mop Replacement Pads - Pack of 2

“We bought this Mop because it wasn’t a Steam Mop”, we have a lot of good quality laminate flooring and other hard floor surfaces and were looking for a Mop where we could control the amount of moisture going onto the floor, that’s why we didn’t want a steam mop. I have to say we are extremely pleased with this product. It’s a good quality brand and the product was easy to set up, however make sure you press the yellow button above the power adaptor on the back of the mop, in my haste to set it up I didn’t read the instructions fully and thought it wasn’t heating up, however on pressing the yellow button it heated up very quickly. Being cordless it’s so lightweight and easy to use, it gets into the corners well, and the pad sticks to the mop head very well. You can move from room to room with ease. The head rotates in all directions and you can lower the handle right down to get under furniture. We have pets going in and out so it’s really convenient to heat it up quickly and use. The pad must be good because it picks the dirt up better than any other product we have used before and on the box it says bacteria are removed. The only down side is that we are using it that much we will need to buy another pad  whilst the other is washed. Great product we love it.

When my original electric steam mop stopped working , I thought I would give this a go as the cordless feature seemed a good idea . What a mistake that was . Pressing the trigger squirts out a jet of steam into the middle of the pad , by the time it has soaked through to the outside it is cold . My floors didn't seem any cleaner but were left very wet which took a while to dry . Once the mop is put together , with push and click fittings it is impossible to take apart and so I can not return it in its original box . As I write this it is in the back of my car with all the rest of the Christmas rubbish , ready to go to the local household recycling site .

This is a very easy to use, modern version of a mop and bucket combined, with the added benefit of it being much more sterile than a dirty old mop and bucket.Simply fill up with water and leave for a minute or so and its ready to go. The fact its not corded is much easier to use than my old Vax steam mop with a cable (Which melted into a heap!), so i can see myself using it more often.Some people here are saying its not a steam mop, well who said it was? not the listing for sure, in fact the only time it says steam mop is to emphasise its NOT a steam mop! I would say its easier to use than a steam mop and virtually the same level of cleaning from it.

It is entirely my fault but I did not realise this was not a steam mop. You do put water into it and you do plug it in, via a very short rather awkward lead. It heats the water then you unplug it. To use it you squeeze the trigger under the handle and it squirts the hot water onto the mop head. Steam is not involved just hot water. It does mop a floor and remove dirt. It tends to leave the floor streaky as with continual spraying the mop head cover gets quite wet. On the more positive side It is easy to use as it has no cord but it is not a steam mop. If that is what you are wanting. .

I've used vileda for years so trusted this product would be as good as everything else I use. I needed something quick to use to clean up after my dog, especially in this wet and muddy weather. I loved the cordless idea, so much easier in my large kitchen diner and really quick to whip it upstairs to bathroom and to the porch unlike my plug-in steam mop. The wAter capsule was dead easy to use and fill up, especially loving the little floaty "full" marker that bobs up!I do usually like spares of things so wish it had another cloth to go with it so I can keep them fresh from the washing machine, but it was easy enough to take off and rinse through inbetween uses.Obviously it's not as versatile as some of the steam mops that can be dismantled to hand held devices, but then it does what it says - hot spray mop, one that is so much easier than a normal mop. much more hygienic and cleaner than normal mop, floor looks cleaner. Works great on my tiled ceramic floor, bathroom floor and parquet kitchen diner. I even get the husband using it as it is that quick and easy!So far, really like it - a great purchase.

Not worth the money and even more shocked that it was originally being charged out at over £80quid! Not worth it and not the steam cleaner I was expecting. RubbishI think if it was £15 quid it might be more acceptable

I saw this product when visiting my brother in the UK during Christmas. Back in Spain I couldn't find it and decided to buy it in amazon besides it has the UK plug. I can only say it was a great decesion. I have a little two floor house with laminate floors and it's the perfect product for it. It is easy to carry around (no cables!!!) and treats very gently my parquet while being very efficient. I was a bit worried because I had a previous bad experience with a steam mop (too agressive with my laminate) but this product cleans great and "respects" my floor. And it is much cheaper than a steam mop! Can only recommend it!

Have to say that I wasn't expecting too much from this after reading the reviews on here. However, I went ahead and bought it and I'm so glad I did. Being in a wheelchair using my corded steam mop was a nightmare and trying to use a conventional mop and bucket wasn't practical either because of filling and emptying the bucket. This thing, however, is so light, very easy to push along and it made a brilliant job of my floor. I soaked the pad in hot water first, squeezed it out, put it on the mop and off I went. Job done in no time at all (and no flippin' cord to get in the way) and still had plenty of water left in the reservoir when I'd finished. I really don't know why people are giving it such bad reviews.
