Compact, Sturdy and Amazing Quality
This Playseat Challenge X Logitech G Edition exceeded my expectations. It’s very sturdy, comfortable, and surprisingly easy to set up. The frame feels solid even during intense racing sessions, and it doesn’t move around when using a force feedback wheel. I also love that it’s foldable, which makes it perfect if you don’t have a lot of space. When I’m done playing, I can easily store it away. The seating position feels realistic and comfortable even after long sessions. If you’re serious about sim racing but don’t want a permanent rig taking up space, this is a perfect choice. Highly recommended!

What a great buy for sim chair
I friggin love this chair Granted the only one I’ve owned but I think I made a great choice going with this one Easy af to assemble the seat cover it has on it is quality stuff it folds down so I can put it away when I’m done using it the only thing I had a problem with was that the chair doesn’t let me set a seat number but then again I’m like 290 so your weight really goes into it but even at 6 I’m really comfortable while I play and I feel more like in a cockpit on that setting

Works w/ CSL DD, great compact setup
Pros: - Wife approved (it fits in closet when not in use) - Easy to assemble - Plenty of mod support (I purchased a 3D printed add on for my shifter/handbrake that was made for the original Playseat and it works perfectly) - Works with CSL DD and mounts securely with 3 bolts (you have to flip the mounting plate backwards from its original position for the bolts to line up correctly) - Great GT3 style seating position where the seat “leans back” slightly and my arms are at a 90 degree angle. I’m 5’9” so your mileage may vary Cons: - Not super sturdy, the locking and swinging mechanism is the weakest link here and there is pretty bad forward/backward stability. Side to side feels fine, even with 8Nm of torque from the direct drive wheel base - Noise levels are fairly high, the material squeaks on the metal pieces especially when racing hard. To solve this I used some of the circular rubber protectors it came with, cut them to specific sizes and added them to the locations it was squeaky which mostly fixed it - No mounting options for my CSL Elite V2 pedals, I ended up using a ton of zip ties which actually work surprisingly well and feel very sturdy once secured All in all, a great rig that lets me race hard and then put everything away in a nice compact area. 100x better than a wheel mounted to a desk and sliding around in my office chair. I can finally trail brake correctly because of this, which significantly improved my lap times The stability isn’t great, but I don’t notice very much when racing. They do sell “stability” kits but I haven’t felt the need to purchase them yet If you’re on the fence and need something compact, I say go for it. I’m really glad I got this, just wish it was slightly more stable for forward/backward pressure

Is a great budget option.
For the price its a great way to go. Its very adjustable and works well. It is designed for carpet. If you want to use it on hardwood, or a slick floor I would suggest you buy a ratchet strap and just put one across the front and rear legs to hold them at the adjustment you want. I didn't know this and when I sat in it the first time it collapsed after a few minutes. I am not obese, I weigh 76Kg, but that was enough to cause the adjustment splines to slip. I tried tightening them way too much to overcome this, but no dice. One ratchet strap to hold the legs in position manually and the thing is totally solid now, on any type of flooring. Pedal box mount has lots of adjustment for any size legs, wheel mount is good. It is kind of tricky to mount a shifter, but isn't too bad. If you don't mind the shifter being right next to the wheel, then you're in luck and don't need any additional hardware. If you want the shifter to be down more to your side for a realistic street car feel, you will need to buy an additional mount or build one. The wheel mount lifts up and to the side to let you in and out, there is a chintzy plastic latch to secure it. It works fine, just don't be rough with it. I have not had issue. Be careful, you can pinch yourself if in a hurry and clumsy. It's comfortable and I have had no issue endurance racing in GT7 in it. I recommend this for anyone wanting to sim race on a budget.

GREAT BUDGET RIG FOR BELT & LOW DD SETUPS
Bought a G920 years ago and rarely used it because of the hassle with desk mounting, sliding chair, etc. Got back into sim racing and this was my first upgrade…and I must say it’s ALMOST exactly what it says. I’ve used it for hours every day since I got it (several months) and no issues with the quality! PROS 1) Well constructed and easy setup 2) Folds up easily, very small footprint 3) Easy mounting for belt drives & low power DD wheel bases 4) Slight flexing but not really noticeable & much better than expected! 5) Pedal position adjustment is SO simple, and plenty of distance for tall 6’ plus sizes 6) Much more comfortable than expected, no issues with hour long (or more) sessions, relatively easy to get in/out of CONS 1) Biggest complaint, no sliding adjustment for wheel to seat distance. If you want the wheel farther away, you have to lower the whole chair to increase the distance from wheel mount to seating position. Basically, I have to sit F1 style to get the wheel out of my chest (I’m 6’ tall) and it’s still almost too close. I get why you can’t “slide” the chair position (it IS a folding setup after all) but would like to have seen some slide adjustment on the wheel mounting plate at the least. That would have made this almost perfect! CONCLUSION For a first entry, budget, small footprint, all-in-one fold up solution, this rig is ALMOST perfect. Craftsmanship is excellent for the price and suprisingly rugged/robust. All mounting hardware was included, and as stated, setup was simple. Adjustability is fine for most, could be better for taller people (only real complaint). As a side note, I just upgraded to my first DD wheelbase (Moza R5 Bundle) and it handles it fine. Was worried it would be too much for the rig but it’s perfectly fine with no more movement than the G920 which wasn’t really noticeable when driving anyway. Highly recommend this setup if you’re looking for an upgrade to your desk mount wheelbase and pedals. Made a HUGE difference in every facet of my driving from lap times to getting away from assists. Paired with the Moza R5 bundle, this rig finally gave me the confidence to jump into online multiplayer competition. If you’re a beginner like me, don’t have several thousand $ to spend, and most importantly, the wife won’t let you have a “permanent” rig…look no further, this is definitely the route to go!

Comfortable and portable!
This seat is more comfortable than I thought, it is very durable and doesn't take long to assemble. The mount for the wheel base is meant for the lower nm wheels, but I use this with an 8nm fanatec and its still good and sturdy from moving sideways. Its a bit flimsy moving it back and forth but you dont really do that with a wheel. The downside is that its a bit on the pricey side but after using it for a few months, its still great and I would recommend to other gamers. The best thing about this product is that I can fold it and then store it in the corner of my room when not in use and it doesn't take up too much space!

Perfect for Condor Soaring sim & storage
This cockpit feel about the same as sitting in an ASK-21 sailplane. Easy to setup. I'm 6' tall and 190 lbs. No issues getting in/out once you figure how to. Pros: -Comfortable. -Easy to setup and fold for storage. -Mostly metal and feels durable (powder coated tubes) -Cloth material is thick and feels durable. -Open cockpit entry, yes I can hinge the bar w/ 32" monitor. -IMO worth the money. Cons: -Not any add-ons for it. Regular Play Seat Challenge ones need to be modified to fit (eg: HUAYUWA Shifter Mount & Thingaverse parts ) since the Challenge X has thicker tubing. Gear used: -Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 Joystick -CH Products Pro Rudder Pedals -Logitech G Saitek PRO Flight Throttle Quadrant -Dell Dock Station WD19 -Cable Management Box (XL) -HF Tools 1/2 in. Protective Wire Wrap -Plastic ties -Basic surge protector -Dell Precision 5560 -32" Visio TV/Monitor -Single Monitor Stand VESA Mount for 13-32 Inch Screens -3D Printed "Unbreakable Self Adjusting Vertical Laptop Holder" -3D printed "Speedbrake-Remix correct size for Logitech G / Saitek throttle quadrant" -Condor Soaring 2 sim w/ ASK-21 add-on. - Wired USB Number Pad -Anker USB C Hub 4 Ports -HUAYUWA Shifter Mount (Right Hand Install) for Playseat Challenge. Not made for Challenge X but works on the left side (flipped) for the throttle quadrant

Cool product, lacking qc
Cool product, but one of the locking sides kept slipping and wouldn't hold. I'm way under the weight limit, but one side would always slip off the setting. Tried to tighten it, but did not tighten. Other side had no issues. Cool product, but I feel like it lacks in qc.
