I don't hang mine from trees. I have a sort of pergola in my back yard from which they hang. I have the string stretched across the top, stapled, and the solar panel sitting in the sun. These are beautiful lights.

Q: how long is the string of lights from the solar panel to the very last light? 300' driveway, how many strings needed?

The string of lights is about 8 feet long with an additional 5 foot of string to the solar panel. That's a lot of lights for a 300 ft driveway....both sides?
