NRS Healthcare Prima Grab Rail 46 cm (18 inch) Length

Excellent grab handle - just the right size to grip, and with very good soft-grip strips placed at regular intervals. I installed this on the wall in the bath/shower area of my elderly parents' home and it helps them enormously - the handle is very strong and confidence-inspiring, and helps them get in and out of the bath (which is primarily used as a base for the shower). Grip is excellent, even when grasped with wet, soapy hands, so this is a good confidence booster as well. Recommended!P.S. I used a special tile drill bit and that made installation very easy indeed - this is the one that I used: Faithfull Tile & Glass Drillbit 6MMUPDATE: 11 April 2016 - I've also bought a 24-inch version of this grab handle and placed it near the top of the stairs; I had to fix it to the skirting board as the wall above is made of lath-and-plaster, so is not strong enough to take the handle. But it's an excellent aid for my parents when they are climbing up or downstairs.

Fitted outside by side of door to help elderly person manage 2 steps. Needed the longer 24” rail - would have preferred in green/black but not available and needed rail fitted ASAP. Have used this type before - they are nice and wide, warm to the touch, and much easier to grip than metal thin ones.Easy to fit outside to solid brickwork provided you have correct tools etc as no fittings provided (hence loses a star) .Used a no 7 masonry drill bit (preferably with hammer drill) and the large brown masonry rawl plugs that will accommodate the four recommended 2” no 10 pan/round head screws. I used the end of a flat head screwdriver to ease the plastic catch of the end covers into place. Overall took less than 20 minutes and left with sturdy rail. Recommended.

A very well constructed grab rail made of strong plastic and the rubber strips along the length makes it non slip/slide. Shame fitting screws and plugs not supplied but I suppose it all depends on the type and place you want to install. I managed to get some very good stainless steel bolts with steel threaded anchors so the rail will not go anywhere. The photo on amazon looked creamy in colour but it is white so will fit nicely anywhere. I would strongly recommend it. Be gentle putting the covers at both ends when the job is done otherwise trying to remove them will break the little plastic nib at the end.

Purchased this for my back as I have a deep step . Currently used mainly by blind relative but there for all in the future just that little help and support we all need sometimes. Fitting more at the front soon.

this grabrail works great at the backdoor step. They have a great grab.
