Q: What's the average time to charge the batteries?

Takes mine @ an hour to recharge. But they don't last very long. Mine quit taking a charge after 6 or 7 times. When this is new, it kicks ass. But after about 25 -30 uses it clogs up and the batteries just turn to junk. We did a two week camping/beach trip and this was damn near useless by the time we got back.

Q: Is there a trick to the showerhead? Nothing is coming out.

Could be several different things. Would need to see your set-up to know for sure, but here is a basic troubleshooting checklist: Has the filter been installed per the included instructions? Is the hose firmly attached to pump and shower head? Is the battery component fully charged and seated in place? Is pump fully submersed in water? Is the pump turned on? Can you hear the pump working? If not, contact the seller for a replacement. If you answer all of these ‘Yes’ and there's still no water coming out, contact the seller for a replacement.

You could search for "shower batteries" on Amazon buy the battery, Battery specification is 2200mAh 3.7V. Hope it's helpful
