Thermodynamics: An Engineering Approach ISE

Used this book to study. The university provided online acces but I prefer something tangible. Very good quality and a good price. Did not break the bank and the layout is simple and the information is well presented.

Excellent best book on Thermodynamics that is intuitive and enough math to make it joy to read. Each subject is explained and illustrated very beautifully. Great for engineering of all stripes and those dreading that undergrad Physical Chemistry class.

Pretty much identical to the standard US version. I have the digital US version and this ISE hard copy. The homework questions I was assigned were exactly the same in both. Definitely recommend.

There are some typos which sucks if you depend on this to learn. Besides that obviously it’s a textbook to learn thought the grasping of concepts I will say is better from other sources like youtube.

Book was perfect for my son’s college class. He can study much better with a physical book as opposed to an online book.

Was delivered quick, in great quality. Gave what was promised.

I wish I had this book at Uni. This book uses a practical approach to the theory of Thermo: what do you use it for, with examples. At the end of each chapter/ subject, there is a set of quick questions to check if you caught the gist of it. And nice illustrations and a problem example for each chapter including the correct answer(s) (could have included the full calculus). Most problems in SI, but includes some in British units. The grandson of a close friend uses it at a local tech university. I was curious and bought the book for myself (we used the Rogers & Mayhew). I am still in the early chapters. Recommended.

Great textbook but....you have to purchase a separate textbook to get the solutions. That's why it gets 3 stars. The problems throughout the book are not solved and require you to purchase a separate book to solve.
