Q: Are they machine washable ?

They should be. I haven’t washed them yet but they’re pretty much like my vans and I wash those all the time.

I think they're actual skate shoes since that's what I searched for but who's to say. They work for the purpose they say they're designed for.

Maybe try typing that into your search engine, pretty much the same way I did.

Q: Can the interior insole be removed to accommodate custom orthotics?

Yes the insoles can be removed in order to add your own. They are not glued in and easily come out.
